Beautiful!!!
-
Wow! Really? Coffee??? Hmmmmm!!! I do use it to cook with at times but I have been rubbing it everyday on my tummy arms and legs and massaging it on my scars too. Not saying it will take complete care of sagging skin but it sure helps. Plus I'm losing only 2 lbs a week which I'm happy about because it gives my skin a chance to "catch up" with the weight loss. And I smell like a coconut too!! ????????????

I've been using organic coconut oil I bought at Trader Joes. You can also pick it up at Publix in the cooking oil aisle. So far so good. Cost is about $20 a jar and it goes a long way.

You look awesome! What an inspiration!! Congratulations!!! -
I can only say from experience that drinking from a straw has made me sick and I will continue to follow my doctors advice. Kudos to you all that choose to do otherwise. I'm jealous that you can do so without the ramifications but it's not necessary to make fun of those who do suffer from it. Shame on you! Best of luck and I wish you continued success in this journey!

I'm from NE Ohio too but live and had my surgery in Florida. Ironically the Cleveland Clinic in Florida. I used to work at CCF in Cleveland so I knew I was in good hands. My worst day of "what did I just do to myself" was the night after surgery at about 2 am. Since then it's been all uphill for me. I am almost three months post op and living life and my new body. So exciting!!! I miss Cleveland and The Tribe! Oh well that's what planes are for! And I fit very nicely in a seat too!! BONUS!!!!

Hooray!! It's all uphill from here on out!! Remember a heating pad for your belly when u get home. It helps. Take it easy!!

God bless you honey. So sorry you had a rough time if it. It sounds like you are very normal in feeling "bummed out". You have been through a lot. The beautiful thing is now you are on the mend and have a whole new and healthy life ahead of you with lots of new and exciting things to experience. Half the battle if getting better is a good positive attitude. You will get there. I promise!! And you have all of us to vent to. Your body has been through some major trauma and its going to take a little time to figure out what just the hell happened. Hang in there....hold your head high.....smile.....and love life!!!

Fantastic!!! Way to go girl!! That guy is so lucky to have you! And kudos to you for recognizing the loser you got rid of!!! Enjoy your life!!! You have many years to shine!!! -
You won't feel anything now except some extra burps but in the long run it does cause problems......DON'T USE STRAWS!!! DON'T DRINK CARBONATED BEVERAGES!! Are you really willing to risk it just for convenience sake? I have seen it happen where the sleeve was stretched out and it's not a pretty thing. The girl was devastated!! Didn't think it would happen to her and she had no issues while using a straw but after 6 months at made a huge difference and she put back on 50 lbs. she cried all through the support group meeting. Please be smart and follow doctors advice!!!

himalaya62 replied to Kristi71's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
awesome!! Cant wait to see pics! -
I've been an RN for over 20 years and it was the 2nd best decision I ever made next to getting sleeved. I now do marketing for a home health care company after working many years in the hospitals and I know no matter how hard the economy is, I will always have a job. Good luck and stick with it.

CLARITIN D..CAN I TAKE IT ..YES OR NO
himalaya62 replied to dat_sweetmami's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
According to my surgeons office from Cleveland clinic I can take any over the counter meds for allergies or cold and flu symptoms. I'm 2 months post op however. I think if you are within 1 month post op I would check with your doctor. I was only allowed liquid or crushed meds the first month post op. as long as it doesn't contain ibuprofen or aspirin in it you should be fine. Stick to acetaminophen products such as tylenilcold and flu etc. -
Clothes - clothes and more clothes
himalaya62 replied to mokee's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Me too! I went to The Avenue for the last time last week. I went to buy size 14 pants for work and they were too big!!!!! So excited!! Now I'm shopping at Kohl's, Old Navy, and of course the consignment shops for clothes. Don't want to spend too much money on clothes that will only fit me for a few months. Hooray!!!! -
