    Prednisone.........

Oh ((((Mayflower! )))) I'm so very very sorry you have to be on them for such a long time. Every time I've been on them it's a garenteed 10 pounds gained for me. It might be worth asking for an appitite supressant, I never thought of that. I too always become this raging lunatic when I have to take it for my asthma. Thankfully, since being banded, my asthma is better than it has been in a very, very long time. I'm so sorry.

What do you do if you slime or get stuck?

Well, if you slime, best to spit it out. If you swallow it you could force a PB. If you get stuck, best to wait it out. Somepeople have success with standing up and walking around, other by stretching their arms above their heads. Depending on how stuck you really are, you might do other things that work for you. I personally do torso slides, but avoid bending over, incase that triggers a PB.

So you go and pull a rabbit out of the hat and don't come here so we can celibrate??? Okay, I haven't cleared this Rule with Live2Canue, but heres a new one I Propose: If you suddenly pull a rabbit out of the hat, you MUST report in, so we can have a party, or at the very least, throw confetti. Nobody gets kicked out, but you might graduate.

    Eating around the band

Hmm, interesting, I've always associated the phrase "soft-food syndrome" as an indication that someone is too tight, not that they were specifically trying to defeat the band. I know that for me, eating around the band is trying to get in more calories than the band will let with "proper" bandster eating. Eating around the band doesn't necessiarily mean that you are trying to sabatage your band or your weight loss, but in my mind, that is the point. I decided that I was going to eat around my band this next week. I'm way too tight, and I'm having fatague issues right now. And being finals week, I cannot aford to be sluggish at all. I'm working on getting about 1000 calories this week.

    Find Me a Coat!

I got mine at Sears, 3X, leather stadium with reversable genuine Faux Fur. Keeps me warm in the sub-zero temps we have here in Idaho
  9. Okay, as y'all know, my DH was banded a couple of years before I was. He is down to 410 pounds, and has been enjoying that weight for the last few months. This is the smallest I've ever known him. Also, he has been at least 400 pounds all his adult life, so there has been some issues where he simply not ready to go further with his loss. Well, last week he got another fill and rededicated himself to losing weight. He did this so that he can better relate to my struggles. I've been slightly anoyed with him for the last several months because he hasn't been trying to lose weight, eating around his band, and generally not working his weight loss. I was anoyed because here I am doing everything under the sun and nothing works. He doesn't know if he will lose fast or slow, but he wants to support me in my struggle, and the best way he knows how is it start being the best bandster he can. I know of at least two other bandster couples, any one else?

    Proactive/agressive "filling"

Well, Sally, you are averaging 1.6 pounds a week, sounds good to me. The average bandster loss is 1 to 2 pounds a week, although I must admit to bringing that total average down a bit How much do you expect to lose a week on average?

    No Satisfaction

Man, I have no idea. You are now at 1.5 cc, but it is possible that you still have swelling from the 2.5 ccs That's my guess, is that you still have swelliing from that fill. I know that somepeople have swelling for a couple of weeks after a fill. Give it another week or so, being very careful with your band. Don't push it, and eat to see what you can eat. (yes I know, human nature and all) I'm guilty of this myself.

    If In Doubt..Check It Out!

Excellenct post Pat! So many people do think that the band is surgical bulimea. Right now I am super tight, too tight, and it is really having an impact on my life that I'm not happy with. Of course, I'm not losing weight either, so that probably adds to my discomfort. I'm doing my best to not get stuck

    Bellydancing NSVs

Ah, good point, since we sure were shaking our collective booties on stage! Oh, and Beanybaby, there is little chance that I'll give up my plans to go work for the government, after all, it is my solem duty to protrect this great nation of ours. My way will be to strengthen and protect our infrastructure against hackers, both foreign and domestic. Of course, after I'm done with my service, I'll sell out and go to work for some fat cat multi-national making the big bucks, protecting our critical infruastrucre in a different capacity.

    Proactive/agressive "filling"

I don't think we honestly know why somepeople are turtles and some are rabbits. As a turtle, I have to think there is something else going on with some of us. I know that some of us have issues with PCOS and other issues. Some might have medications that affect our loss. Some of us have great restriction, even though we are not losing. I don't know if there is an answer to your question. I know I've been looking for one.

    Slow Losers - Unite!

Wait, you've lost 30 pounds in 5 months? !!!! That sounds suspicously like Rabbit behaviour! That's amazingly good progress, If I see a 40 pound loss in a year I'll be amazed. I don't lose 2 pounds a month let alone 2 pounds a week. I take viactive multi vitamines and calcium. Okay, I've decided that 700 calories is not nearly enough. I'm back to 240 pounds, as of yesterday morning, so it isn't even working. I've decided that i'm going to eat around the band. I hate to do this, and I'm not going to share how I plan to do it, but it will be with good choices, so not to worry. I'll not be sucking down bowls of ice cream or other stuff that band loves. I have finals all next week, and I need to be on the top of my game.

Something fun to do for the holidays

Santa Clause North Pole, Earth Dear Santa, I have been a good girl. It really wasn't my fault what happened at Clark's Office party. It was Traci who spiked the punch with too much egg nogg. I can't help it if I drank 42 glasses. It was so good---smelled and tasted just like pine. I thought it was funny when I put Ryan's panties on my head and danced the tango on the sofa while singing `Los'. I didn't mean to break Clark's PDA and don't know why Clark would accuse me of murder. I don't remember calling Clark's wife a sticky cow---even though she looked like one with purple eye shadow and green lipstick! And when I threw up on Jean's husband's elbow, it was only because I ate too much of that Soup. After all that fun, I admit I was a little tired. So I fell asleep on my way home and drove my snow cat through my neighbor's entryway. I don't think that was any reason for my neighbor to call me a hot dog and have me arrested for battery! So, Santa...here I sit in my jail cell on Christmas Eve, all wet and sweet. And I'm really not to blame for any of this sticky stuff. Please bring me what I want the most---bail money! Sincerely and quickly yours, Crystal (Really a nice girl!) P.S. It's only 12 bucks!

Actually it was a shot at her rigidity, because ballet dancers have the most diffiuclt time learning to move with great Fluid motions in their torso. We had a couple of women in ballet as well as bellydancing, and they couldn't move their hips or chest in isolations. Not sure what a Bon-Bon is, but apprently it's something that bellydancers have
