vinesqueen replied to Feel2Young2B40's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm claustrophobic too, and I haven't felt ... confined by my new band. -
Woot! Way to go Pat!

That is F-A-B!!! Mind you, I can currently fit all of me into one of my DH's pant legs...:devious

someone needs to tell Penni that rain should never be a factor whether to go to Starbucks or not. In Seattle we never let the rain stop us from doing anything. I say "tell" because SHE SHOULD BE RESTING THOSE PEEPERS OF HER! Hugs Penni, and I'm glad things went well!

I needed an emergency D&C... My DH wasn't terribly happy to get a call from the ER telling him that I was going in for surgery. 2 in two weeks is not a good thing...

I never wear pany hose. EVER. When I crashed my motorcycle, I ended up with a terrible scar on my leg from the engine where I was burned. (people are white meat BTW...) The nylon has a terrible effect on my scar. When I do have to wear a suit, I just don't wear hose.

Geez, see what happens when I spend the night in hopsital? I WANNA HELP!!! I know, Desk calendars! They have a weekly picture! Of course, Donali and I will want the same week in Feb...

OW! Sorry to hear about your hubby's toe. Has your daughter asked you to kiss it and make it better? (something my boy-oh would have suggested at her age...)

Pain wise, this was a brease for me. I am having terrible menstral cramps though. These hurt worse than the surgery stuff.

Welcome back Corgi! I've had some gas, but nothing terrible. Just feel like I REALLY need to have one of those BRRRRAAAAPPPP!!!! Burps. I've also not had anything close to pain, just discomfort. I don't remember anything about recovery, just waking up in my hospital room. I do have this mystery bruse on my thigh--still black and not yet turning to green...

Hello Flower. I could have had the band probably in January if I wasn't a full time student. That means it would have just been a couple of weeks after meeting with my surgeon. Instead, I had my band installed last week during spring break.

You will do just fine Tanya! I know that these next few days were an absoulute rollercoaster for me!
-
I don't know about Jamie, but I sure wouldn't have been ready to go back full time after just two days. A full week and I'm ready though.

I am now at 259.

okay, I must be weird. Very little pain, other than getting a killer period. I'm uncomfortable, but not in pain. I'm a little bloated, a lot windy (yeah, so what else is new?) and making aome funny gurrgly noises.. (I was drinking Water and sounded like a bath tub draining! ooooh sexy...) I went shoping a couple days after surgery, and drove 800 miles on Friday night with my DH... tomorrow will be my one week bandiversary...

Well, for one thing, it is more like a "catch and release" program... Have we had an update from Will? -
