Yikes! So sorry you went though this. If it was me, I would wait to call the dr. If it happens a second time, call!

    Is Your Stomach Loud?

I now have "reverse burps" where when I open my mouth to say something I will suddenly have a huge intake of air and make a VERY loud OP noise. It's pretty funny. I've also had the experience where I will make sounds like a bath tub draining...

    Anyone a reader???

Alex, you might get her joke and riddle books. It just about broke my heart when my son told me that he didn't like to read. My sister bought him some joke and riddle books, and now he's hooked! He's now hooked on reading -- to the point of getting in trouble in classes for reading. I taught myself to read when I was four, so I can't really answer your question. Or perhaps I just did? Until I left for my exile, we used to read to each other all the time. My mother read all the Little House books to us when I was a kid, and that is probably one of my best memories. (no one was shouting, hitting, screaming or otherwise causing chaos or mayhem....)

    New Job!

congrats Darcey! So, what part of the process will you be working on? creating the silcone wafer, assembling the entire chip? And does your facility make other types of memory? (trying to tone down the geek-speak...) I want details! (Maybe PM me so we don't put everybody else to sleep?) Cheers!

How has your relationship with food changed?

okay, I told my DH that I figured out that i was a food horder, and he said he knew that from the first time he came over to my house. He said that he figured that I would have clued into that fact when he told me how much he and Spudboy donated to the food bank. Now why would he think that?

    Vera has a new band

Get better soon Vera! I'll light a candle for you!
  9. Thank you for sharing this Trooper. Your essay has given me quite a lot to ponder. From your post, I would say you are definately not like that gurl on TV. You are not doing this to please a boy-oh, you are not doing this for socity, you are doing this for yourself. And that, my dear, makes you different. I know from my own experience that I have gone though a wide range of emotions myself. I certianly haven't felt the need to "fix" myself, but then I'm comfortable with who I am, what what I've done with my life. But I'm not your average bear... I know that in the week or so before I was banded I was in near panic, so talk about your mixed emotions! and I never appoligise for a long post!

    Pooping the Alphabet

Jenna, I'm the same way! Stage fright is an excellent way to describe it. I can't use a bed pan either. No way. Of course, every now and again my DH will leave the door open and I get all freaked out. And yes, the dog insists on checking on me while I'm on the potty. Dog! you saw me go in there!

One month banded and I am hungry!

I think we just have to check our calorie intake for a reality check. I think it doesnt' make a difference if you eat 3 meals or 4 meals or even 6 meals as long as your calorie intake is below a certain level.

    Anyone a reader???

Alex, if you like historical novels, you might like the Children of the (fill in the blank) I believe the first one was Children of the Wolf. They are written by a wife/husband team who are both anthropologist or archiologiests. The first one is set when the Ice Bridge still exsisted between Russa and Alaska. Very enjoyable reads.

    Your Wu name

<hijack> Actually, with name generators, they just have a list of names (or in this case, they have a list of predetermined words.) and they match those words with a pattern. It would be based on the first few characters or the length or it could be completely random and not based on anything at all. They cannot link your name with your computer as a general rule. As long as you install the updates for your operating system as they come out, as long as you install the updated signature files for your anti-virus and keep your spyware blockers updated, you should be fine. Never open an e-mail if you do not know the person. Never answer mails that appear to be from PayPal, eBay, etc where they claim your acount will be closed. NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORDS, PINS, SSN or other such pass phrases or codes. NEVER EVER </hijack> My son was Amature Overlord

    Anyone a reader???

Novels? what are these things you speak of? Here is my current reading list: my stats book, my accounting book, my math book. And for fun, I'm reading a book on malicous mobile code. Although while I was recovering from my surgery I read a wonderful trashy fantasy novel, the latest in the Sword of Truth series....
