My DH cannot eat pizza, but I can.

Wow, that is great news Penni! It's always really fun to meet someone famous (for all the right reasons. Not fun if they are famous for the wrong reasons.... )

2weeks Out & feeling Better ;0)

I'd rather get up to go pee than get up to go eat something... But that's just me... -
I had my first fill & almost passed out!
vinesqueen replied to DtDtKty's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I made my DH come with me. For my fill. I'm the same woman who doen't blink at a D&C with a spinal all alone in ID, but I had so many tears with my fill my ears filled with tears! -
I've had bruses go almost right to yellow, so I wouldn't worry about the yellow. If it is hot to the touch, then there would be issues, along with fever. Take care

also, you might want to take the meds with milk (if you can) since that will help coat the pouch. One of the other things to do is to drink a large glass of Water after taking the meds to help wash them out and down. I break them in half but I don't chew them. (shudders at the thought)

2weeks Out & feeling Better ;0)

If I don't drink a glass of milk before I go to bed, I wake up hungry in the middle of the night. So, I drink a glass of milk before I go to bed. Sooooo, I'm guessing you are not doing your crunches then? I felt like I was Crunch Queen before my surgry, and I didn't have any real issues with feeling like I was hobbling around everywhere. Plus, it always shocks them with a big fat lady can just *boop* sit right up without needing help... -
Hi Ruthie, not everyone loses weight during the liquid phase, although many do. Don't panic!
-
no fasts after a fill. Jessie just recommends soup for dinner that night.
-
I've been really very much under the weather with girl issues lately. (let's just say massive amount of percacet and phenagren are involved...) I'll be ckecking in, but my posts probably won't make much sence. I'll welcome each and every new person to Bandlandia in quiet, and offer my prayers of both joy and condolences... Work will be interesting enough trying to string together coherent sentences ...

ah ha ha ha, Sadie could do it all along, she just didn't want to steal Jake's thunder. Bently sounds like a monster! A big slobbery hairball monster "ohboyohboyohboy-someonegonnaplaywithme!" SLORP!

I can't think of a higher fat & sugar loaded deal than an ice cream sundee with whiped cream, Cookies AND brownies... Felt just fine afterwards.... Perhaps it was the bread like quality of the donuts?
-
I am so sorry to hear about your dog. Indeed, how many degrees of a broken heart does one need? Such a sad thing.
-
3 weeks out is still the healing phase, too soon for a fill just yet. You mught want to back off the solid foods if you are continuing to have pain issues, or PBs.
-
You are still recoveringfrom surgery. While you probably don't have the drugs in your system, your body still needs to heal. I'd try boosting your protein. Keep us posted.

uhm, when I'm at school, I just go home and have lunch. But during this internship, I've been buying a lunch every other day, and eating left-overs. But I seem to be able to eat everything, even after my fill. Congrats on the new job!

how'd u do in yr pre op supervised diet
vinesqueen replied to rene2005's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I didn't do the supervised diet, although he wanted me on one. Because I was on steroids, I actually gained weight before surgery. Dr. Watkins just patted my hand and said not to worry. -
Hi NRS1, Yup, you are exactly right on schedule. Many people find that while they are one liquids they loose weight quite rapidly, but once they start solid foods, many gain a few pounds. You experienced your first "stuck" feeling and your very first productive burp, a.k.a. PB. I've had one fill, and before I had my fill I could eat everything I wanted including cheeseburgers and pizza. Now I've had my fill, and I still don't have any trouble eating anything, but I am satified much sooner.
-
not funny, but I had several bits on my lips. I looked like I'd gotten colegen shots.
-
Thanks everyone. I'm down to 3 percacets today, and just one phenegren. This really sucks, but today I felt pretty cranky, so I must be getting better on some level. Unfortunately, the person who schedules girl surgery can't even talk to me until she gets back on Friday. The nerve of her having a personal emergency! And it doesn't help that my PCP is on vacation all week.
-
Man Heather, that suck big time. So sorry to hear about that.

What's Your Favorite Type of Pet?
vinesqueen replied to donali's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My poor old dog has good days and bad days. He's been having better days since I wrote my lament. I just can't stand the thought of anyone or anything suffering. -
Welcome to Bandlandia!

so far, so good.

Actually, be careful with neosporin ointment. Lots of people are allergic to it, and don't figure it out until it is almost too late. I've also heard reports that it will disolve the glue used to glue us back together. You don't need any antibiotic ointments unless you have an active infection.
