oh, be very careful with nuts, they are loaded in calories, and you would be surprized at what a serving on nuts looks like. It's a quarter cup, and most people dont' know what that actually feels like. http://www.caloriesperhour.com/index_food.html Nuts, Cashews, roasted and salted [Trader Joe's] 1/4 cup=59 ml or 1 oz=28 g Calories Protein Fat Carbs Fiber Sodium 170 5 14 8 1 120.0

we can offer all kinds of our experiences, but being banded is really unique. Not only will your experiences be different than mine, but differnt from Jack's or Alex's or Kelly's or, well you get the picture. There are a lot of things in common, but a lot of things are not. Also, your expeineces probably won't stay the same either. You may discover that during the 2nd week of the month your can and do tolerate sandwiches, yet on the tail end of the 3rd week you fined that -oh-my-gawd-PB! after a few bites of a sandwich. But I think Jack is dead-on. You will probably find that your tastes change and what used to be your favorite no longer is. Some people who don't tolerate bread do fine with a piece of toast.

Yikes! Kelly!are you okay? I dont' know the answer, but you should all your doc asap!

hmmm, usually when they peirce the cartilage they need to use a special coring needle. I have a cartilage piercing and it's always given me grief. My pierced neice, as well as other peirced people suggest the coring needle.

as far as I could tell, it was seamless. I had my inital consult in late Dec, and was banded in March, only because that was the first time I could get back in town. Spring break saw me not on a sunny beach somewhere but in the OR.

Laura, You've been on liquids for a month????!!! That sounds a little excessive to me. Yes, 3 pounds in close to 3 weeks is reasonable. 10 pounds a week is not reasonable! Probably not healthy either! One thing I am learning is that the fill is not a constant thing. I was banded in March, first fill and unfill in June and just this week I am having amazing restriction. I mean, sudden and unforgiving restriction. I'll all for spontinaity, but geez!

I was too fat to look pregnant

Beautifultina, he cannot legally do that! Oh my gawd! Crap, I dont remember which labor board you report him too, I don't think it's OSHA but it might be. Keep yourself safe and report his butt to HR. What he is doing is illegal and is putting the company at risk.

Lisa, I think we scared everyone. I rarely talk about this stuff. *sigh* but at least it hardly hurts any more. Oprah had David Peltzer on as a guest, and I made my Spudboy watch that show with me. Before he's always sort of figured that I was making up my childhood. After that show, my baby's attitude changed. Since he only had 5 "real" spankings his entire life, he couldn't imagine some hitting a kid like that. By "real" spankings I mean, he was warned that if behaviour X happened again, he would get a spanking. The spanking was over pants, and at a time when we were both calm. I only used my open hand, and never more than 5 swats. I let him choose how many times, and I never spanked him with anything but my hand. Of course, by the time it was over, I dont' know who was crying harder, him or me. I dont' know who was more tramatised, him or me. Anyway, I haven't read David Peltzer's book. I don't think I could.

two weeks after my surgery I started a horseback riding class. Hefting saddles and tack, cleaning feet... Not light work, but I was fine. I little tired, but fine. two weeks to return to work should be fine, but everybody heals at a different rate. Good luck and congrats!

I use Burts Bees rose Water astringent all over when I notice the funky... the smell is caused by bacteria, and the astringent kills the offending bacteria. I have very sensitive skin, and chemical sensitvities, so I don't use lots of products. Try adding more fruit to your diet. Heh, When I was working with a trainer, a woman walked by and we could smell her body lotion. it was really pretty, sort of a peachy smell. However, we thought it a little inapproprate given that we were there to sweat, not pick-up boys. Long story short, it wasn't the other woman, it was me. My sweat smelled like peaches because of my every night late-night snack--peaches with Fiber One Cereal.

heck, I'm sure it is okay Momof4, I don't weight at all, and I'm still here. I didn't make it to our support group this week. I'll make DH drive us to the one in two weeks, after I get back from NY. Sometimes I would like to have access to a scale, but not enough to let a lier in my house...

Yup, Welcome to Onderland! Woot!

Great job Vera, and only 3.1 points from Goal! Sending you lots of healing blue lights and lots of protective white lights!

SE ID is close to ND... As distance is measured by hours it takes to drive... June is probably out of the question for me though. It will be summer, and I'll be into my next intership by then. (probably DC) Okay, why would you give men twice as many toilets???? -
DH and I have gotten to the point where we share an entree. We are never questioned.

take baby gas drops or other gas medicine. Have someone burp you like a baby! Sleep! Don't drink a Dr Pepper!

Yay! you got your unfill!

Of course I had to wear weird clothes. My parents would never buy us any clothes either. When I was 15 through 17 I had one pair of pants. When I gained weight I split the seat and had to hand stick them with Patches from other worn out pants. We went to a private school, so I at least had a uniform so I was the same as the other kids. Well, dressed like them anyway, since there was no way I was like the other kids.... When we moved to a new town, no more private school, and I went to public school in the 8th grade. Mind you, I was tiny, so I was weird and tiny. Not a good combination. The neighbor lady took pitty on me, but she didn't have a clue either. She made me an outfit that was basically a gi (karati outfit) with a really, really wild pattern. I never got beaten up, but some coward kid decided to hate me to the point that he/she knocked me out with an apple. Apple to the back of the head has the same effect as a rock to the back of the head. When I was 17, I wore a size 12, but my mother made me wear her cast off purple polyester pant suit that was a size 16. It wasn't pretty.

never had to do the letter thing, but there you go, took much less effort to hit us. We had to look up everything as well though. I don't make Spud look up anything, which is probably bad for him. My mom did teach me how to roll the perfect joint when I was 15 though. As you can tell, everything my mom did, I did the exact oppositie with Spudders. My dad was a very violent abusive drunk. When he wasn't drinking or hungover, he was just the best dad, but well, he only knew that fathers were supposed to be abusive drunks. When I was a kid the other neighborhood kids would come over and ask if Wally could come out to play. In the summer he would play jump rope with us, Water fights, tag... all sorts of street games. My dad wasn't crazy, just an abusive alcholoic. My mother was a lunatic though. I look at her now and wonder when she got sane-ish. yeah, I think Lisa and I've been hoping that we were not freaks of nature.

There were the countless times I was dragged out of bed, out a dead sleep by my hair to clean the kitchen. Again. I got in trouble after my younger stabbed me. I was told I shouldn't have made him mad. And this was the second time he stabbed me mind you.

how'd I miss this? Sorry to hear about your too-tight fill! My first fill was 2ccs as well, but she imediately had to take out some because I was stuck on Water. She pulled out more a few days later, so I have 1 cc in my band. Some days I think I'm fine, other days I wish I had more restriction, and then there was this weekend.... Hope you get relief soon!
