I had the same thing as you. I asked just a few weeks ago at my 6 week post op visit and was told that my surgeon doesn't do cookie cutter sizing. He makes everyone's stomaches different sizes. I was told to not worry about it because he had great success doing it this way.

Oh it was so amazing to feel the texture of actual food in my mouth. Went out to a local restaurant for an open house for my wife's thirty one business and had baked salmon and mashed cauliflower. Amazing. Looks like 3 meals from a 14.99 entree

Believe me Amanda, we all know what you are going through. Stay positive and keep pushing. It's well worth it in the end. I'm pretty new to the adventure but you know that we are all in this together

What happened to your sleep apnea post surgery?
misplaced_vol replied to RedCardinal's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was sleeved 12/18. I just had a follow up appointment with my sleep apnea doctor just this past Friday due to needing it for work. I have lost 37 pounds. The doctor told me to bring in the machine if I felt that the pressure got to be too much and they would turn it down. He also said that once I lose 25% body weight I may need another sleep study -

Need non-gross chewable Vitamin recommendations ....gummies?
misplaced_vol replied to DanaInNewOrleans's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use Celebrate Vitamins. I use the grape multivitamin, grape Iron, and the tart cherry calcium. They don't taste too bad I must say. The multivitamin is the only one I found to have a little aftertaste but I just chew it first and then the other ones. http://www.celebratevitamins.com/ -
Preop smokers? Help please!
misplaced_vol replied to racoon_439's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I quit January 18, 2010 after smoking for 16 years. I was just sleeved on 12/18/12. I will say that quitting smoking is one if the hardest things I have ever done. I quit cold turkey and it was the best decision that I ever made to better my health besides having this surgery. To not wake up in the morning and go hack up a lung while smoking my morning cigarette is nice. Also to be able to enjoy the fresh air. My surgeon says that smoking increases the chances of getting an ulcer which can be a very bad complication on a VSG patient. He will not operate on a smoker and sincerely tries to help the patient to never pick it up again. -

As far as vitamins go, I use the Celebrate brand that I purchase through my doctors office but they are available online also. As far as your surgeon goes, there is a section on the forum dedicated to Mexico so I'm sure you can find out info there on him. Good luck and congratulations -

My surgeon sent me home with a prescription of Prilosec. The first two weeks I was told to open the capsules and pour the contents on a teaspoon of sugar free applesauce. Maybe you can get Pepcid in capsules and do the same -

I just took comfy clothes to wear home and my cellphone charger so I could make sure to keep it charged. I used the notepad on my phone to write questions that I had for the doctors. Good luck. I have my 2 week post op checkup tomorrow -
Gummie Multi Vitimans...Thoughts anyone?
misplaced_vol replied to T'snewstart's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The iron vitamin has a better grape taste then the multivitamin. I haven't tried any other flavors because I'm worried that they may be not pleasing to my taste buds
