Please help in pain and confused
jeanettecamacho07 replied to cookie90270's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been having the same pain with dizziness but no shoulder or other pains. I've had diarrhea and lost over 5lbs since pain started again last week. I have the pain every once and a while and now it seems constant. I'm going to go to my surgeon on Wednesday to see what he says, but I am in the same boat. My surgery was 12/20/12. -
Looking For Dec Sleevers Out There
jeanettecamacho07 replied to mandyMO's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi all, lets all remember we are losing fat and gaining muscle so never get discouraged! I was sleeved 12/20/2013 at 304 and weigh 239 it's a 65 pounds lost 10+ inches on stomach thighs and every where else. I was busting out of size 24 and now I'm at 18 pushing a 16 (5'5) so no one will look the same, weigh the same, eat the same or exercise the same. I haven't tried hard at all but I know if I did it would be more. I'm still happy with results. Good luck to all but don't hold what someone else does and compare if you do try to be better and hold as motivation not desperation. -
plz post before and after pics ! :)

2 week stall
jeanettecamacho07 replied to mommyof2's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 9 weeks out I hit a stall after weighing myself daily or even twice a day for 2 weeks only losing ounces. To me it was mental but I weighed myself at 8 1/2 weeks out and down 10 more lbs. So, if you weigh yourself like I used to give yourself a brake and hopefully it will pass and if not doing more intake and then less one day sounds good because it doesnt give your body time to adjust to a certain weight. Good luck! -
Im 7 weeks out and I chug but sometimes it bothers when I do so I try not to but seems like a habit.

My Biggest FEAR is not the Operation but....
jeanettecamacho07 replied to JMS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 8 weeks out and I have been on a hunger rollercoaster. I am hungry quit often but eat small snacks here and there to stop the craving. I have had my eyes wide open when Im hungry and something I used to eat is right in front of me. EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT!! Some people can stop snacks or change to healthy snacks which I did but its your will power and the tought of gaining the weight back which holds you back from eating alot. Oh and some stomach pains of overload and burps will tell you, you had enough. I still look at a plate of food and think I can finish it but in reality I can only eat 1/4 of what I used to eat. Imagine eating foods and then snacking to be full but dont worry 3 bites down and your pretty much done full to max. You will see the big difference and dont fear you will eventually learn and get used to losing weight that the bad habits of eating fast or eating for two or even worse fried foods, you will get disgusted and never miss it. -
why no vitamens first 10 days after surgery
jeanettecamacho07 replied to chicomoni's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc. Told me vitamins is my food and he was right. If I didnt take my pills or waited too long in the day I felt the same way. I had no energy, no apitite, nothing. I just wanted to sleep but when I take them I feel energized. Its hard to believe you cant take your vitamins. The hospital didnt give me any but I was ok because my doc started me on the vitamins 1 month pre op so by that time its still in my system. I hope the 10 days come and go for you and your back to your regular self, I would take them anyways but its up to you. Thousands of us have different docs with different views and mines never said to stop taking them ever. Good luck and god bless. -
Birth control?!
jeanettecamacho07 replied to samcee18's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the nuvaring and been on it for 2 years and 7 weeeks post op didnt need to take it out unless needed to and its been a blessing. I had the mirena IUD but due to heavy menstural it got pussed down and eventually taken out. The Nuvaring is less expensive and insert for 3 weeks and take it out for 1 week works great and most insurance covers it. Check out what works best for you. -

One month out and lost 40 pounds so far, but I'm stalling now.
jeanettecamacho07 replied to blkdiamond377's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 12/20 and I dont count calories or ptoteins or anything. I just focus on moving my butt and eating enough to keep me sane. I lost 28lbs and Im happy, water is my bff and I drink ensures. Keep focus on the little things like eating right and walking and before you know it that stall is all it was. I could stall but that scale is so not my life. I dont want to be consumed by numbers its too overwelming. -
I am generally happy to have my surgery on 12/20 and have lost 25lb since then. Start weight was 302. I just havent had any motivation for exercise. I never had any before except for cleaning my house putting music on and doing an occasional step or two with spanish music or any new songs out today. If I don't get off this couch I might not lose more weigh and my mind. What makes others motivated to exxercise?? I need encouragement, please....

brain overload
jeanettecamacho07 replied to lacifer90's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did the same. Years before my kids I wanted the lap band and was in the process but then I said I will stall to have kids and I wont gain much weight and start again. 50lbs heavier lapband wasnt going to cut it and my decision changed. I decieded that I and only I need to take control of my life and weight. I wasnt motivated anymore to jump on the treadmill or dance run or even walk. In the mean time of a solid decision I gained more weight. I had a mix mother on board and father wasnt. Husband loved me no matter what. Every time I go over any inlaws I felt all convos was about my weight (some were) I took a look at fat pictures of me and I said oh heck no. I never wanted to be 300lbs woman mother of 2. So my inspiration are my kids. I have high self esteem young or old fat or slim. Do what you want, you are the only person who you have to answer to or look in the mirror, good luck!!! -
Suggestions please...
jeanettecamacho07 replied to pedsnurse120304's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Ho, I'm 2 weeks and 2 days out Ive lost 25lbs but I started at 302 so bmi is a big play factor. I sip water every 15 mins. I drink 1 and half ensures (12oz) a day so I sip it every 2 hours suppose to drink more of a protein drink but its a balance drink that keeps me full and complete. I have 1 fat free pudding a day if Im craving something sweet. I will have 1/4 a cup of broth or liquid of a soup someone made. I think Im under eating but Im not complaining when I see the scale. I dont know if I helped but good luck!! -
7 months post op & 6 wks pregnant
jeanettecamacho07 replied to labubakari's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
You can still carry a healthy baby but you will be hungry and gain weight. Take you prenatal pills and talk to the doctor and all should be fine. Babies have a extremly smaller stomach then you do so keep happy thoughts, good luck! -

jeanettecamacho07 replied to Elyne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
50/50 water juice blend, decaf tea, crystal light is way better, low fat milk, yogurt. Try mixing protein powder any way you can and which is tolerable to you. Good luck. Im two weeks out and I found Vitamin shoppe to be of great help. -
