He said most of my weight is carried in my hips and butt. People that carry their weight is stomach have more trouble. I have a coke bottle figure. It's just a 3 liter bottle. Lol!

I found awesome iPhone app called Thin Me. You download your fat pic and manipulate it to make your body skinny. I love it.

Eyesight changed immediately after surgery

Oh no I hope this doesn't happen to me. My eyes are already bad and I'm a nail technician and artist so I have to be able to see fine details. -

Awesome job. Love your new bob hair cut too -
I'm a professional nail technician. I reccomend ACv for clients that have nail fungus. Dip a qtip. Apply to fungal nail. Dispose of qtip. Do not re-dip and do not touch qtip to other toes. Of this daily for 30-60 days.

Go to feminine hygiene dept at Walmart and buy Poise wipes. They are made for hot flashes. You rub them on your wrist, neck, bend of elbows. They work great.

You Don't Know Her Story, So Give Her A Chance....
woman in me replied to morthnaprtyfac1's topic in Rants & Raves
I can relate to this. I was a young, thin, popular cheerleader and beauty queen. I've always had a friendly, open, and flirtatious personality. Girls in high school hated me for no reason other than they saw me as a threat. Now that I'm fat everyone loves me. Wives are not threatened by me. But I'm afraid once I lose this weight I will have those issues again. The ladies are work are already telling me they are gonna hate me when I'm "a skinny b!+€#". Oh well. Haters can hate. I'm getting healthy. -
I've always lived my life as an open book. Some people (my sister mostly) say that I over share. But I don't care. I don't do anything I'm ashamed of. This is my life to live as I want to live it. If you like me good. If you don't, I'm okay with that too. I've openly posted about my upcoming surgery on my FB and I tell everyone I know my big news. I'm excited to have this resource and hope my journey can influence others.

How long did you take off work?
woman in me replied to DreamsOfSkinny's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon said two weeks was recommended but I could go back after 1 week. I have a desk job. He said I would probably feel weak by end of day. My surgery date is 2/25 -
Dr Thomas Borland is awesome. He is just outside Lafayette in New Iberia. I just left his office today. First time in Louisiana? Boy are you in for culture shock. I grew up here and love it.

Hair tends to hold odor. I don't necessarily prefer shaven but trimmed short is nice. It's just a hygiene thing for me

If you are eating carbs that may be causing it. Carbs pull liquid into the digestive system because more liquid is needed to digest carbs. Therefore it moves faster. This is what my PCP told me.

Just got some samples from GNC 25 grams protein but 200 calories and 17 carbs. That's high isn't it. Would this be a wise protein mix? Advice please?

The Tennessee Jerky is my favorite. I am from Louisiana and I love the Cajun flavor. Also the barbq and Bloody Mary flavors.

Am I the only one that's mind has been taking over by this surgery. My every thought is consumed. I'm sooo ready to get this journey started. I feel like a kid waiting to go to Disney. My bags are packed and I'm sitting in the car waiting on mom and dad to come on. Lol. -
I am Julie. I live in Brookhaven, MS (but I'll always be a Louisiana girl at heart) with my husband of 19 years. I have a 17 yr old son with special needs so he lives in a assisted living facility. I am 40 yrs old, 304 lbs. 5'6". I am waiting for confirmation of my surgery date but it looks like Feb 26. I am self pay and traveling to New Iberia in South Louisiana for the surgery. My goal weight is 180 but if I get down to 150 that would be great. I am very comfortable with my current size (people always comment that I rock my curves) but my health is declining so I am doing this for health reasons. Hoping to rid myself of diabetes, High BP, and osteoarthuritis.

Five things no one every told me how to deal with

I'm still pre-op but I'm looking forward to using a regular bathroom stall and not the handicap stall. I swear men design those stalls with the toilet paper dispenser the same level as my hips and the door opening to the inside of the stall. Sure makes it hard on a fat girl. -
How long has it been since surgery? You are so pretty already. You are gonna be a knock out.

I'm Julie. Born and raised in Louisiana but married a Mississippi man and moved here to be with him. I'm 40 y/o. Married to my soul mate and mother of a 17 yr old son with special needs. I work 2 jobs. So life is stressful. I was thin and even a beauty queen in my younger years but weight gain begin in my early 20's. my first consultation is Jan 14 w Dr Borland in Louisiana. I'm self pay ($9800) and I am hoping to schedule my surgery Feb 26. I hope to lose 130-160 lbs. -
I'm getting support from my thin friends and jealousy and doubtful ness from my over weight friends. They either come out and say "I'm jealous" and then change the subject. Or they say " I would never do that. It's to dangerous ". (I translate that to -I would if I could afford it). And thats another thing. People keep asking me how I can afford it. Where did I get the money? Um it's called me and my hubby working 2 jobs for past 2 years and saving every extra dime. You should try it sometime instead of buying purses and shoes that cost an entire paycheck.

Yep me too. I get my surgery date assigned on the 14th. I'm hoping to have surgery the last week of Feb. I'm totally consumed with this surgery and day dreaming about my new life. I know my friends and family are getting tired of hearing about it but I can't think of anything else. -
I've had extenstions. I wouldn't,. I think you will be okay. they just need to be able to get to your scalp

My instructions said to shower, wash, and dry hair before arriving. No oils or products in your hair. Wear it down and loose.
