I work patrol nights. 6p to 6a.... Trying to get in a groove of regular workouts. My sergeant has been super supportive through my journey. He suggested putting my workouts on my calendar like I would any other commitment. Officially cleared for running, weights and the C25K program. Gonna start when I wake up later today! Have a great day!!

You're "normal". ;D. Each doctor has their own program. Mine emphasized fluids fluids fluids the first 4-5 days. If I could manage protein with nausea even better. I felt like I sip sip sipped constantly. And I WORRIED. I am 17 days out and just Friday night realized "hey I am taking more normal sized drinks". Slow and steady wins the race! If I don't pay attention and take a pre surgery "gulp" my stomach quickly reminds me and therefore there have only been a few! Keep on rocking it and stay motivated.

I'm in!! 2 1/2 weeks post op.... Did Day 1 Week 1 on the treadmill; No incline and more of an airborne shuffle that a true jog... Gonna focus probably on Week 1 for a few weeks when my endurance has built and I am a little further out from surgery! I will say, I remembered how much I used to enjoy running today... Felt a little froggy putting the uniform on and heading into work! Keep up the hard work everyone!

I purchased Unjury chicken soup flavored and unflavored; I warmed up chicken broth and added the Unjury chicken soup flavored to it; It will clump, work through it with the spoon then let it sit for a minute or so to fully dissolve. I like it much better this way than with water. It is what is getting me through. Last week before I started liquid phase i mised unflavored with yogurt which was good.... Learned the hard way, scrape yogurt out into a bowl so that mixing the protein powder in well is easier.

Self Pay Questions!
deannagail replied to mrsderouen's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I live in Austin and after talking to several doctors I work with at an ER followed their recommendation to check Houston and Dallas. Their advice was, good doctors in Austin but at 16k self pay was more than I wanted to look at. Lots of research landed me at My Bariatric Solutions in Decatur, TX NW of Fort Worth. They have on line portals and really cater to out of town and out of state patient. $10,450 cash for sleeve. I have a hietal hernial they are going to repair at the same time. They checked with my insurance who DOES cover hietal hernia repair. So I have a further cash discount. Total $7,200 self pay. I will have some out of pocket for the portion they file with insurance. Once the dust settles after my surgery I can let you know what my out of pocket from the hernia repair runs if you message me. Bigboy will depend for you what your coverage is. Love love love Dr. Stowers staff. Deanna -
