jcsleeved2013 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So, I finally feel a lot better from surgery, feeling great as a matter of fact then wham super bad head cold that knocks me on my tail. I normally take Nyquil for colds, should that be an issue once you are sleeved? Any suggestions? -
Seriously struggling with getting my protein

Thank you so much everyone for all the suggestions, I am going to try Unjury and the protein jello. I also love beef jerky so I bought some 0 fat, very low sodium jerky at the store so that I can snack on that also. I am also going to try this greek yogurt everyone is talking about. I never tried it before and I keep hearing everyone talking about it. -

Hi, my name is Jennifer I am getting sleeved today actually and very nervous. I have been reading different blogs on this site prior to my decision to have the surgery which helped me make the final decision to go through with it. I started struggling with my weight after having my first child over 22 years ago but really hit my highest in the last four years. I suffered from depression from it and now beginning to have health problems due to the weight gain, so I need to do something that will help me get my health back on track. I think as many others I tried every diet you could think of and I was going to the gym, but nothing was working. I am ready for a fresh start and I am confident this time I will finally be able to succeed. I have a great support system and I have been doing a lot of research to try and prepare myself as much as possible. I am very nervous about surgery I must admit, but I have to look at it as a means to an end.

Hi there! I just wanted to thank you all for your support and feedback and give you an update. After a few rough days I am feeling better then ever and down 10 pounds already. Walking definitely is the thing to do, it is the one thing that gets that pain to subside faster and hot showers! I feel so much better today, I have my first pre-op appointment with my surgeon tomorrow morning, I will keep everyone posted on my progress. I will start a different blog for my journey, looking forward to my new healthy life ahead and making new friends that can relate to my situation! God Bless and Happy New Year!

Two days post-op, I am still very sore and in a lot of pain. the gas pain is awful, I have the gas x strips, but they do not seem to help much. I hope I feel much better by tomorrow!
