Yeah, eggs are on my list, there are a lit of things on my list that are not on others. And my meal portion in 4-6 tablespoons not 2-3. I understand what everyone is trying to say but my guidelines are just way different than everyone else's. I don't know why. I have talked to lots if my surgeons patients and everyone has done great following his plan. I do put my chicken in my ninja before I make the chicken salad. I can live without bread. I do live with my mother and my two teenage boys. My husband left us for the second time back in 2012 so I lost my house. But oddly enough I'm happier now than o have been in 17 years, which is how old my oldest son is...lol thanks for all the advice, I really appreciate it. Haha...The Soup Nazi!!!

How am I sabotaging myself. I'm not eating anything not on my list with the exception of bread. I'm not eating too much, only my 4-6 tablespoons, 5 times a day. And I'm not eating 5 meals a day. I have to force myself to eat 3 times a day.

Eggs is the first food listed on my 7-11 day list. Plus finely chopped chicken, fats like butter and mayo. Basically any food I can mash with a fork. These are all in my book. Now the bread was the one thing not on there. But it has not made me sick. I can have green beans, mashed potatoes, melon, strained berries, cooked carrots.

But I'm only at 3 weeks. According to my book I should only be eating 2 tablespoons of food at each meal. Was yours different?

counting calories?
breehuskins replied to breehuskins's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm diabetic Si I have to kinda stat away from carbs if I want to stay insulin free. And I remember them saying you have to get so many calories in order for you to lose wright properly. I know I'm not getting enough protein but I refuse to use that nasty powder or pay for those expensive drinks other people are buying. I've been making homemade chicken salad and eating two or three spoonfuls on a piece of lettuce for lunch. Then a glass of milk. I get my protein from that and an egg and slim fast. -

If you don't mind me asking. Did they finance your skin surgery or did you have to pay up front?? -

Ok I see my mistake now, they were saying 1 large egg is equil to 50 grams, by weight. My bad. But I'm still not drinking that powder. And I can't afford all that other stuff. -

I still haven't gotten any of my protein. I'm 13 days post op. The powder is nasty. I've been drinking slim fast which have 10 grams but I can only drink half at a time. I'm afraid I'm gonna end up hurting my progress ifvi dint start getting it in. People have given lots of advice but I'm just stuck. -
I'm down 10 pounds!!!! I'm so excited. I can't wait to start my walking and really start seeing results!!!!

breehuskins replied to angelicHG7's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm 12 days post op and down 10 pounds. But my concern is I'm not getting my protein bc frankly it's disgusting and I can't stand it and second my chewable multi vitamin is also nasty. I have no appetite and I just feel blaaaah!! -
Ok another question for you vets, what happens if my multi vitamin is making me sick. I have never ever been able to take a multivitamin without throwing up. It just does something to my stomach!! All the other supplements are fine.
-
Thanks guys, I'm just scared I'm gonna, get sick I'd I don't buckle down. The main thing being the protein. I hate the thought of having to drink thick shakes or stuff like that. I make delicious smoothies but I haven't found the non flavor powder yet. I got vanilla and it is nasty!!!

breehuskins replied to breehuskins's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 12 days post op, for some reason I slept all day today. Literally didn't wake up till 530. Now I feel aweful. I was supposed to start my walking today. It rained so maybe that made me sleep. I can't wait for y'all to have your surgery. It's so nice to have support from people who will actually be going through the same thing as I. -
11 days post op!
breehuskins replied to breehuskins's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Couple more days!! I know your excited. I didn't have the best first week as far as pain goes. I'm a wimp. Also I had no apitite which is to be expected, but please please drink plenty of fluids, I let myself get dehydrated and I started to swell and get sick. Now I'm better. I actually ate some refried beans this weekend, they were so go with some sour cream but I could only eat about 3 spoons full. I have never been full in my life and now I can't believe that two-three bites puts me over full. Lol I love it. Good luck and keep us posted!! -
who is having surgery in September?
breehuskins replied to veronica.gray's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I take xanex, not for depression but for stress and anxiety. My doctors are making me get off of it due to the pain meds I take for my back and its not good bc without it I'm just a crying blubbering mess. I'm 9 days post op and I have felt some depression but I think it will go away. -
Chewable vitamin! YUK!
breehuskins replied to breehuskins's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That would be great but my Dr specifically told me to buy Centrum chewable orange. I guess it wouldn't hurt as long as I'm getting what I need. Do you get these online? -
