When do we stop losing weight
sweetgirl1314 replied to minnie78's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 5mos post op. I've had many disappointing days from the day I bought a scale. What a horrible invention. The numbers on the scale will never add up to the many inches that you will loose and the way you feel in your wardrobe as well as the plethora of compliments you will receive from your family, friends and perfect strangers. Keep your head up. You are not alone. -
HELP! I have a BIG problem with snacking. What can I Do?
sweetgirl1314 posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
HELP!!! I am a huge closet snacker. I try to be very conscientious about buying and eating those candy bars and chips but its not working. Once I discovered they digest well I can't seem to stop eating them. I am so embarrassed, I want to call my Dr office for advice but I'm ashamed. I have a very stressful job that requires that I work long and strenuous hours. I know this is restricting my weight loss success but I can't get past those triggers. For awhile I would exercise to get passed those triggers but 2 weeks ago I re-injured my knee that has slowed me down again. What can I do? I need help! Please any and all comments are welcomed. Thanks -

December Sleevers Weight Loss Check
sweetgirl1314 replied to blkdiamond377's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good job! I was sleeved on 12/18/12. At my last Dr appt. I had a wt loss of 30lbs. That was 2 weeks ago. Since I refuse to weigh myself otherwise, I don't know my current weight. However, I do get daily compliments from coworkers and my wardrobe is starting to shrink because most of my clothes are getting to big to wear anymore. Keep up the good work ???? -
If there was one....

Be patient! Make sure you have someone to talk to about your progress. Your going to have very low days and very high days. You have to keep reminding yourself that there was a reason why you chose WLS. It wasn't overnight that the weight added up and it's certainly not going to be overnight that it comes off. Also, it helped me to keep a journal. -

I too am only 3 weeks post op. the only thing that is helping me through is that I refuse to buy a scale. I hope that I am doing everything right but it is extremely hard when I am not cleared to exercise yet. -

I have faced your same situation...I am 7 days post op. On day 4 I had this big brain idea to go to Walmart to walk around for an hour. My exact words were afterwards were, "My stomach is on fire!" Unfortunately I wasn't able to get any sleep because I have a very deep dry cough that keeps me awake at night. -
Today makes 3 days Post-Op!

Congrats and Merry Christmas, I am 7 days post op. This is also the very first time that I am reaching out to a support group. Today is actually going to be very hard for me. Last night my pain meds ran out and I feel incision site. I suppose as I type this, I realize the pain is not excrutiating but rather discomfortable and annoying, Mainly, because I have to concertrate on sipping, breathing, and walking. I also have very bad dry cough. Both of these combined makes resting very difficult. Other than those two things, everything is healing beautifully.
