    Traveling for PS alone

Well I have to say that I was having issues with pain control and then all of a sudden I felt great. So I don't need pain meds right now. Which is amazing to me. I am up and walking and moving around (slowly and hunched over of course) but for it being the end of day 3 I cannot complain. Those who are thinking of the surgery defiantly bring things like lanyards to hold your drains while in the shower or walking around. A big fanboy pack is also a fantastic idea. (One that is big enough to hold multiple drains). I also found I have been getting a lot of heart burn/acid reflux since the garments are tight and limits eating especially once having the sleeve. So I suggest bringing an acid reducer to help with that discomfort.

    Traveling for PS alone

Yes I have to say that it is not an easy surgery... But I knew that going in. Unfortunately I don't break down pain meds the same way as others, so pain control has been really tricky for me. But in saying that the other ladies have done magnificently well with their recovery. I will keep updating as more comes. Lol. I will add photos when I get some. The garments keep everything all covered up which really doesn't help with showing lol

    Traveling for PS alone

Well I am currently laying in the hospital in Monterrey. My surgery was Friday and everything went well. I has my surgery with dr. Sauceda. I had some glitches getting down as my little town flight was postponed which then made me need to fly in to Mexico a day later:/ it left me with very little time to prepare (which was prob a good thing so I didn't back out) I was picked up at the air port by a driver and even though it was 9:30pm I was taken to dr. Sauceda who did up all my markings, and was very professional. He then drove me to the hotel And I slept a little. Dr sauceda picked me up at 8am and we went to the hospital for preparations. It was a very fast process in signing the papers, getting dressed, getting the Iv, washed and then in to the OR. I was in around 9 and the dr called my mom back home around 3 to say he was done and all went well. In review I had a lower body lift, a small inner thigh lift, a breast lift with augmentation and he included some lipo. He said he ended up taking just over 7lbs of skin and fat off and about a liter of of lipo off both hips( saddle bags) I had little pain the day out of surgery but the lipo sure stung a lot. My first day after was an up and down day as the pain meds that they typically use I am allergic to and which made it difficult to get the pain under control. This was a horrible day and my inner thighs just stung on and off. By the end of the day I did feel much better. I was unable to get up and walk due to the fact I could not get the pain under control. But I once they changed the meds it was much better and tolerable. The only issue I have now is coughing. OUCH I have a lot of phlegm which is causing alot of coughing so I have been needing to brace my stomach a lot. I was worried about traveling alone, but actually there are 4 other wonderful women here that are all at different rates of healing. They are all so kind and helpful. Checking in on me via fb which makes me feel not alone:) here is hoping today is much better and I can get up and walk:)

TT and thighs at the same time?

Thank you for the suggestions. I will be contacting the airline this week to make sure there is a wheelchair and someone to help me between gates. And to get the proper seats. Lol. Unfortunately I can only stay for the 12 days as I could only make arrangements for my kids that long.
  5. Just wondering if anyone has any info about how the flight after surgery will be? I will be having surgery on the 26 and flying home on the 5. I will be having a lower body lift and inner thigh lift, so am wondering how you manage to sit when your really not supposed to sit. And to top it off it will be a 10-17hr flight home (with layovers and plane changes:(

TT and thighs at the same time?

I will be having a lower body lift and thighs done in Mexico at the end of this month. I will be there 10 days after my surgery and then flying home..... Estimated time will be anywhere from 10-19hrs with two layovers...... So how in the world do we manage sitting on a plane???? Now I'm a bit worried:/

    Traveling for PS alone

Thank you everyone:) I will be contacting the airport for sure. Was there any items that were an absolute must to pack? I'm hoping to pack very light and as I will be out of commission I plan on only taking a couple of light dresses and necessities. I have purchased a female urinal as I have heard it will be very difficult to use the bathroom. What about bandages... What is the best. The surgery I will be having a epideral/spinal with twilight sedation. This allows for you to remain on the table and have more procedures at one time. I'm not sure how long it will take. For those who did travel for ps what was the plane like? Any suggestions of how to be comfortable? Did anyone have to do plane transfers or layovers. Any suggestions or comments are welcome!!

    Traveling for PS alone

I really really wish I could find someone to go with me, but even with months notice, not a single friend or family member can go with me. The dr says that there are a number of patients that do travel alone, so am hoping to find any suggestions as to what would make it easier.

    Traveling for PS alone

Oh and I will be in Monterrey Mexico for a total of 12 days while I recover. I'm not as worried about my care while there as if I need to stay in the hospital for whatever reason I can, and if I'm well enough I will be at the hotel. My biggest concern is more with the flights and travel. I would like to hear about how flying was, if anyone experienced layovers and how they managed with walking and luggage. My flights are going to be about 12-20 hrs long with layovers and stops. Did anyone need to request any thing special on the plane. How did you sit for so long??

TT and thighs at the same time?

What supplies are a must have? I'm having a lower body lift, small thigh lift and possibly a breast lift and implants done at the end of July. I am hoping to get everything before then. (I already purchased the female urinal, what else is a must have?
  11. I'm looking into getting an inner thigh lift and tummy tuck and wondering what dr people would recommend. I'm ok with going to Mexico. I have thought about the circumfrencial lift as well. I carry all my weight in my lower body (inner thighs, outer saddle bags, butt, hips and lower tummy) I want the best procedure that can give the most results. What are experiences of others. I also need to take into account cost being a single mom of 3. So any suggestions are appreciated:)

    Mayday mayday mayday! :-)

Hey, I'm a May 2012 sleever too:) May 28th is my one year. My top weight was 260, down to 238 before surgery and sitting at 168/170 for the past couple months. I'm wearing any where from a 9/to 11 jeans (29-31) and a med/lg shirts. Down from a 21/22 (41/42) jeans at my heaviest and a 3x :/ I'm feeling pretty happy where I'm at as far as my clothing size. The number on the scale I'm not in love with. Lol. But happy with my size (minus the extra skin). I have platued for some time know and my weight doesn't budge if I eat less or more or excersize or not. So this is where my body wants to be . I have booked my plastics for the end of July ( lower body lift and inner thigh lift) and am super excited about it. It is just about fine tuning now that I'm not worried about my health due to my weight. Lol.

    Silicone scar sheets?

Has anyone used the silicone sheets for their scars after plastic surgery? How well do they work? Any feed back would be great. I am trying to get everything I would need so that I'm ready for improving post op:)
  15. I am finally ready to set my date for plastics. I have decided that I'm going for a lower body lift, inner thigh lift and am thinking of a breast lift with augmentation. Sooo..... What do I need to get ahead of time? I am planning for July of this year and want to start getting things together. Any lists of must haves or should haves, even could haves would be great. I don't know anyone personally that has had these procedures so have no idea what to expect. Lol.

    Tummy Tuck in Mexico...Any recommendations?

I have been talking to him as well and for what I am looking at (lower body lift, inner thigh lift and maybe breast lift with implants) the hotel is covered for 12 days. There is a specific price that he includes the hotel. I had asked what it would cost for just a LBL and inner thigh lift ( my quote was $9700, for what I personally need done) and that included the hotel, and all medical fees, local transportation and a few other things I can't remember. If I were to go to get just the breast lift with augmentation at another time the hotel is not included. (My quote was $5500). To have all three procedures done at once it would be $13700 (the quote for what I personally need) so there are discounts for combining. As well he said he will refund up to $600 for the flight, and if you have another patient go with you for a procedure you will get a further discount. I'm hoping to go at the end of July.... Anyone want to go with me. Lol maybe we can both get further discounts:D lol

    Tummy Tuck in Mexico...Any recommendations?

I would love to hear about any dr. In Mexico as well for tt or lower body lift. Price is a huge issue for me as a single mom. Can anyone give approximate costs to their surgerys and their experience? I am looking at going in July but would love good references first. I was looking at dr. Yanez. Any feed back??

    It works body wraps.

I would also like to mention that it does depend on the person, I have had people who lost 7.5" from a wrap and others with minimal " loss. There are so many factors involved. If you are going to go out and eat at McDonald's regularly, no your results won't last, if you eat a regular balanced diet then the results will be longer. I have personally had my stretch marks fade which is something that I always was so self conscious about, so it was well worth it for me. I have had the tightning of my stomach which has lasted for me, and even though i have used a number of wraps it is so i can tighten as i lose weight. . The wrap ingredients are really a bunch of products we already know that work (green tea, seaweed...ect) but the company was smart and put them all together to have a combined effect. I noticed a post about toxins: as we come into contact with toxins on a daily and regular basis, our body's protect our internal organs from damages by storing them in our fat cells. It's our defense mechanism so that out livers, kidneys...ect are not overloaded. So when people are posting about the wraps, the ingredients in them allow our body to release the toxins from the cells around the wrapped area, and then we expel them from our body. That's why it is suggested to drink Water..... To flush the toxins out rather than re-absorb them. It is also suggested that only one wrap is used on your body at a time, so there is not a toxin over load back into your system. Again I am not selling my products nor benefiting financially from any distributor in your area. I personally believe and use the product:)

    It works body wraps.

Hi I just wanted to say personally I use the wraps and had the sleeve. And even though I contribute my weight loss to the surgery, I contribute the skin tightening to the wraps. I was 260lbs and am currently at 170lbs. As we know our skin starts to sag, and the wraps tighten and firm amazingly. I had 3 c-sections and a hysterectomy which left me with the dreaded "shelf". But using the wraps has limited the skin I would have normally had. I have used them on my "back fat" with amazing results, my inner thighs (I haven't seen as much results here, but still anything is better than nothing:) people use them on their arms, double chin, hips, butt..... Pretty well anywhere on the body. I did become a distributor after seeing the results, not for the reason of making money, but to share it with people that have had weight issues like I have. If anyone has the chance to use them then I would in a heart beat. Again I'm not posting to sell my product and would not benefit from any sales to distributors in your area. I am just another person who found a product that works for me!!

    Plastic surgery?

I am getting close to my goal weight (only 35-40lbs) and am doing a lot of researching and know I have to wait until my weight stabilizes, but need to save up:) I personally will need a tummy tuck or lower body lift, inner thigh lift, and probably a breast lift or implants. so I would like to know what dr they used, the website if possible, the costs (including extra costs while getting surgery.... Hospital, accommodations, medications, transportation, ext. ). Anyone have a great dr that was cheep enough for a single mom to afford.. Lol. I don't mind traveling out of country as I had my VSG in Mexico:)
  24. Just out of curiosity, since I am looking into a tt, and reading like crazy over everyone's experiences..... I had 3 c-sections and an abdominal hysterectomy so am wondering how the pain is in comparison. My c-sections were super easy to heal from and little pain. However I know that the difference is in the righting of the muscles and the healing will be different. Any imput?
