Wow! Everyone here is so motivating and encouraging. I love checking in and reading everyone's posts. Had a good weekend of biking with the hubs and this morning I started Week 4 Day 1. I was a little apprehensive about the 5 min run but I told myself that I was defeating myself before I even attempted. So, I told my innerself to SHUT UP and just get off my a$$ and DO IT! And I did do it!! I am super proud of myself for not quitting before I even started. That is more of a mental breakthrough then a physical for me. Happy running everyone.

W3D3 done. I have to say that I am terrified for week 4 BUT I am pressing on! Just think how proud of myself I will be when I complete week 4. Everyone have a blessed day.

W3D2 Done! Wasn't too bad. I think I finally found my rhythm on the first 3 min run. Happy day everyone.

W3D1 Done! Everyone is doing great. Don't get discouraged just pick yourself up and start today! Don't beat yourself up for what you didn't do yesterday. That just keeps you from succeeding today. Today is the start of all your successful tomorrows!!!! Happy running (wogging) in my case. Lol

I had nausea the first 6 hours after surgery. It was awful and painful. After that the morphine and anti-nausea meds took care of the last 18 hrs in the hospital. My Dr. sent me home with a liquid pain med. I have a 4 hour ride home but luckily my best friend lives in the Kansas City where I had my surgery so I stayed a week with her and her family. Between my hubby and my best friend (who happens to be a nurse) I was very well cared for. It does get better with each passing day. In a week you'll be saying "it was so worth it!".

Bypass caused too much "nutrition" concern for me. Lap band wasn't an option since I have an auto-immune disease. Sleeve was "just right!" Best decision I have ever made when it comes to my health!

Congratulations on both the 50 and joining us in the 5K challenge.

Loved reading your story. You are an inspiration. I live few hours away as well in Great Bend. I was sleeved in Lenexa at the KC Bariatric Center on Dec. 6, 2012. I haven't had any complications either. I love food too and know I am an addict. My sleeve is my accountability partner! -
You are an inspiration to those of us just starting out. Keep up the great work!

Do you use the unflavored whey?

Way to go! It's motivating to have a child WANT you to join him. You are on your way.

I guesstimate till I have the whole recipe done. Then after preparing I can go back in and edit the number of servings.

Will have to try this soon. It doesn't taste like macaroons? Is it chewy, crunchy or soft like bread? -
Way to move on!

Congratulations on your success! Thanks for the pics. They are very inspiring. -
I am quite interested in everyone's response. I have had the same question. I am 2.5 mos post-op and supposed to have a "girls weekend" in about a month. We usually have a few drinks each day while together. (although we are in a hotel room together scrapbooking so we aren't out driving)

I had the same pain on the left side. My doc said the same thing. The suture in the muscle was the culprit. Mine finally disappeared after about 3 to 4 weeks as well. It is so worth it though isn't it?!
