I did a lot of research ( few yrs) before i got the gastric sleeve. I read all the complications and the process for the procedure and for the most part, the results was good. I had my surgery on November 12, 2012 and everything was great. My taste buds changed. The things I triedt and like before surgery was ok, but after surgery I didn't like much. So, I had water most of the time. I was counting down the weeks because I couldn't wait to the food changed started to happen :). Well, I notice that I was having a hard time with swallowing ( felt like it would get stuck then go down) it was very uncomfortable. When the pureed stage came I was very happen to eat eggs and fish. When this stage happen it was very uncomfortale. Because I didn't have the surgery before I didn't know what was normal and what wasn't. I knew something was wrond when I went to stage 3. I was able to really drink my liquids so I knew I couldn't eat food. During this time 4 weeks, I've called my dr. every week about my swalling problem. My Dr. was very nice and he gave me a lot of different meds. When the 5th week came and I still didn't have any progress, I called my Dr. and stated that I need all the test that can be done because something is not right. My Dr. did an upper GI and notice that my stomach had a loop at the top, twisted. I have an appointment to get a EGI, but i'm very nervous about the next step ( surgery). Becaue of my situation I was able to find this website.
