Dr. Jalil Illan with Baja Bariatrics and Omar Acosta - A Warning

Even the fangirls are supporting that Omar had relationships with patients and there was enough information out there that they were warning friends about him. -
Dr. Jalil Illan with Baja Bariatrics and Omar Acosta - A Warning

Your post contradicts itself so much that my head is exploding. You personally tried to prevent a friend from getting hurt but you don't want Susan and the other women that were exploited from trying to prevent others from getting hurt? You warned her about something happening and it did and now she's "playing" a victim? You say he "played them", but they are not victims? Wow! -
I have runners knee, but I don't think the knee locking up is a symptom. Sounds like torn cartilage to me, but you'll need an MRI to know for sure. Runners knee, which is also called chondromalacia, causes pain behind or around the kneecap. It can also cause swelling and grinding/crackling. I have trouble when my running form is off, especially when I over stride. I have a genetic issue with my knees where the patella doesn't slide in the groove correctly and it causes the chondromalacia. It can cause excruciating pain when I sit for long periods of time. The only relief I've found is Orthovisc injections every year. I got my last series of shots (3 shots a week apart) in June and the knee is feeling pretty good right now. I've also done physical therapy for it off and on for a few years. The best exercises for it are those that help strengthen the muscles on the inside and outside of your thighs.

Any suggested surgeons for BA/LIFT in Mexico?
deedadumble replied to HeatherSchwartz's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
One of the reasons I was leery about Dr Gutierrez is that so many of his testimonials read like they've been written by the same person. They use his name over and over again in the message. Always his whole name spelled out. Never a period on the Mr. The sentence structure is always the same. AZDee is the first that I've read that seems to be authentic. -
There's an Insurance and Financing forum under the Main Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forum.

Surgery this morning BA/BL, arm lift and full tummy tuck!
deedadumble replied to LilBoo007's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Did you start taking collace or anything like it before surgery? I'm having plastics in 2 weeks and have read that it helps if you start taking stool softeners before surgery. I always have issues with pain meds. -
Question about surgery in Mexico
deedadumble replied to TonyaNKy's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Dr. Sauceda is in Monterrey, so you would fly there (it's in the northeastern part of Mexico). He usually picks you up unless he's in surgery, then his driver picks you up. If you're going to a doctor in TJ, they usually have drivers that will pick you up from the San Diego airport and take you to the hotel or to the doctor's office for your marking then to the hotel. -
They have Orange Crush water enhancers. It's one of my favorites.

One of the reasons I'm going to Sauceda is the amazing support forum for his patients. You can find it by googling sauceda support forum. -
New: nighttime hot flashes, 3.5 mo out
deedadumble replied to CrazyJaney's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Are you sweating at night or just getting hot? I started having night sweats and mine ended up being reactive hypoglycemia. I had to adjust my diet at night to fix it. RHG is pretty common in WLS patients. -
Plastics scheduled for July 22nd

It really depends on your body and what procedures you need done. Dr. Sauceda is very quick to respond to emails if you would like a quote. His website also lists prices for most individual procedures. -

I'm having body work on the 22nd and neck lift on the 25th so I'll be at the hospital a little bit longer than most. I have a very high pain tolerance and not too worried about it. -

I'm traveling alone. Not too worried about it as I'm pretty self-sufficient. -

Less than 4 weeks left. The hematologist has cleared me for surgery, as well as my rheumatologist, PCP, endocrinologist, and psychologist. My therapist is finally on board, although not happy that I'm going to Mexico. I've increased my Protein by 30g a day and I'm adding a few core workouts a week. Also added another 8ou of Water and switched to a better Multivitamin. I want to go into surgery as healthy as possible. Bought my spoiled rotten dog stairs so I won't have to lift him into my bed! Trying to go a few weeks without carrying him anywhere so he can get use to it. Started my packing list. I found a good YouTube video that showed most of the things I should bring. The only thing I'm really getting anxious about is being away from my son for 12 days. -
My plastics before and afters
deedadumble replied to CowgirlJane's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Wow! That is an amazing transformation! Can't wait for mine (exactly 4 weeks from today)! Did he put the implants above or below the muscle? I still can't decide whether to get them or not. -

round one of test results are back
deedadumble replied to CowgirlJane's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
They can be caused by reactive hypoglycemia, which I have found is common in WLS patients that are 18+ months out. Mine are not menopause (hysterectomy 5 yrs ago) and the docs did a bunch of tests to rule out cancer. I final started tweaking my diet and have figured out how to get rid if them. -
Marathon Training/ Long-Distance Running and Low Carb Diets after Surgery
deedadumble replied to livvsmum's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I didn't worry about carbs on my long run days. I usually take a bonk breaker (they sell them at Sports Authority, Dicks Sporting Goods, and Amazon) and I eat about 1/4 of it every 30 min. I can't do any of the energy gels or beans as they don't sit well on my stomach. Other than the bonk breaker, I usually have an extra yogurt and a snack on running days. On my long runs I'm burning 1,600 calories at least and it's important to increase your calorie count. -

Arm lift / brachioplasty

Thanks so much! I'm going to try some out before surgery. Did you use silicone sheets at all? I've been reading that some people say they work and others don't. -
I climbed a mountain yesterday!

Love it! I have a fitness bucket list too! I'm celebrating by getting charms for my fitness NSV bracelet. It's better than celebrating by eating something and it's a reminder that I can accomplish anything. So far: Plumeria flower: Maui half marathon, charm: OKC memorial half, Ragnar logo: Ragnar Miami to key west relay, and tiara: Disney Princess half. Lots of items left on my bucket list but I'm taking a break for plastics. -

I've been reading that reactive hypoglycemia is pretty common for WLS patients that are 18+ months out. I've been having episodes of it and finding that I need to eat more frequent meals and a snack before bed. I have it when I'm sleeping and wake up with horrible night sweats. -

Will any paper tape work? I need to buy some and try it out. I've had reactions to adhesives in the past. Definitely don't want my incisions to get rashes on them.
