Free never worn bras: 42D, 42C, 38D
deedadumble replied to deedadumble's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Sorry, everything has been given away. I'm going to do another closet clean out soon. -
Oh my word, this is hysterical! I don't remember getting that good of drugs for my VSG! I love reading my texts and posts on Facebook after plastics though. I was so freaking happy, had no filter, and in no pain. Love the part about the midget and the overall lack of periods! Hope you're doing better today!

Two years out... Nausea, gurgling, burping... Afraid to eat
deedadumble replied to deedadumble's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I've doubled up on the Prilosec and just eating a BRAT (bananas, applesauce and toast... Can't do the rice with VSG) and it's helping. The hiccups have finally stopped, thank goodness. They were causing the most distress. Went ahead and made an appointment with the doc since I need some labs done anyway. -
Breast augmentation: What size?
deedadumble replied to MichiganChic's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I had a lift and augmentation. I was on the fence about getting the implants until about a week before surgery. I finally decided I didn't want to lose too much (I was barely a 38D) and decided to have small implants to maintain size. I left it all in my doctor's hands. I told him I didn't want huge and I wanted to be a full D. I ended up with 240cc implants and I'm now a 36DD, which I'm happy with. -
Either it will come out or it will dissolve. All of my stitches that spit ended up coming out.

5 mo out: extreme fatigue
deedadumble replied to HilaryInRC's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
It definitely sounds like reactive hypoglycemia, but with your meds and medical issues you need to see your doctor. An English muffin and peanut butter has too many carbs in it. To many simple carbs and your blood sugar shoots up then crashes. The crash is going to make you feel horrible. You'll struggle to keep your eyes open, your hands get really shaky and you may start sweating. You feel like you need to eat more carbs, but resist and eat some protein like cheese, nuts, or lunch meat. The best way to manage it is to have 5-6 small meals a day and avoid simple carbs. No bread, Pasta, rice, sugar, or peanut butter with sugar in it. -
Dissolvable stitches can be rejected by the body. They call it "spitting". Pull it up with tweezers and trim it with scissors. I had about 7-8 stitches that came out with my WLS.

I just do a google search. This last pair came from DSW, the pair before that I found on Amazon. The first pair of Pure Cadence I bought in a store after being fitted. I have knee issues and a friend of mine that's a trainer recommended that I switch to zero drop, or a more minimal heal shoe. Best advice ever!

I love Brooks. As a runner, I go through shoes pretty quickly. I've found I can get last year's Brooks for $40-50. I just bought a pair of Brooks PureCadence 2 for $40. The new model is selling for $100.

Smooth move is my answer/go to when I feel like I've eat to much
deedadumble replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery to improve my health. The side effects of senna scare the s h i t (figuratively) out of me: "Don't use senna for more than two weeks. Longer use can cause the bowels to stop functioning normally and might cause dependence on laxatives. Long-term use can also change the amount or balance of some chemicals in the blood (electrolytes) that can cause heart function disorders, muscle weakness, liver damage, and other harmful effects." -

deedadumble replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Smooth Move is not a stool softener, it's a laxative. If you're having to take it twice a week for more than two weeks your colon is probably dependent on it to have a BM. -

I think every other day is great if your still losing weight. In maintenance, once a day would be something to shoot for, but you probably won't get there by concentrating on Protein. Increase Water consumption and add chia seeds to your yogurt and add additional raw foods that have natural digestive enzymes: Sprouts Papaya, pineapple, mango, kiwi, and grapes Avocado Raw honey Bee pollen Extra virgin olive oil and coconut oil Raw meat and dairy -

deedadumble replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For those of you that are further out in your weight loss adventure and having BM issues, I've found that this smoothie works amazingly well. 1/2 cup papaya 4-5 prunes 1/4 to 1/2 cup aloe Vera juice 1/2 cup spinach 1/4 cranberry juice (or other juice) Blend well. You may need to add some Water to get it to blend. Papaya is a great digestive aid and has a lot of natural enzymes. Aloe Vera juice is a natural laxative and does not cause dependency. Papaya can be purchased and cut up into chunks and frozen. You can add unflavored Protein to increase your protein levels. -

BTW... Ex-lax also uses senna. -

Smooth move uses senna, a stimulant laxative, which although it is herbal can make your colon dependent on it. Murilax is an osmotic which means it brings Water into the colon to help you go. It does not cause dependency and can be taken every day with the recommendation of a doctor. Smooth Move should not be used for more than two weeks. http://www.webmd.com/vitamins-supplements/ingredientmono-652-senna.aspx?activeingredientid=652&activeingredientname=senna -

deedadumble replied to pinkbunies's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you using it to lose weight? Smooth move is a laxative that should only be used for constipation. Use of laxatives for weight loss does not work and can be considered an eating disorder. Food and calories are absorbed in the small intestine. Laxatives eliminate waste in the large intestine. Smooth move also works as a diuretic and can cause low potassium levels. -
LBL - lower body lift with butt flap augmentation BA/BL - breast augmentation and breast lift AL - arm lift I had all those done on a Tuesday and the neck lift on the Friday of the same week. I went to Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey, MX. He uses twilight sedation so he can do a lot more at once.
-
Thanks! I'm 49, so very happy with my outcome.
-
Yes, I went to Dr.Sauceda. Here's one of my pics from about 2 months after.
-
Your pics look amazing! Good luck on the TT! I'm 4 months out from plastics (LBL, BA/BL, AL, and neck lift) and I'm so glad I had it done.

I Have No Motivation That Pushes Me

Have you been evaluated for depression and/or thyroid issues? When my thyroid levels are off, I struggle with getting out of bed. Depression can also make it really hard to motivate yourself. -

Sleeve in Puerto Vallarta... Dr suggestions? Dr. Hildago?
deedadumble replied to sadymichele's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I had mine with Dr. Lopez in 1/2013. Extremely satisfied with the doctor. Not sure where he's doing surgery there now, but at the time mine was at the brand new hospital in Nuevo Vallarta. Recovery hotel was on the beach. I felt like I was on vacation. -
