I don't really focus on calories, but I get at least 60g of protein a day. My calories are usually around 1,200. My loss really started slowing down 2 months ago (I am 10 months out). Make sure that when you are running that you are increasing your water. Weigh yourself before and after. For every pound lost in sweat, drink 16-24 ounces more per day. Dehydration can slow weight loss. Some vets are having a lot of success with the 5:2 plan. -

I was feeling so good on my run last night that I decided to push to see if I could run for 10K (6.2 miles) and I did it!! I am thrilled to death! My pace was slow (13:00), but still faster than when I first ran 5K. I signed up for a 10K next weekend so I can get a chip-timed race to submit for corral placement at the Disney Princess 1/2 Marathon in February. I ran the 10K last night in 1:20, so I'm hoping to be a little bit faster (maybe 1:10?) so I can be in the same corral as my running buddy. I feel surprisingly pain free this morning. My left hip is twinging, but my right knee isn't stiff and sore like it usually is. -

Yes. I think the Vit D helps a bunch with my all over pain. When I first had issues about 2.5 years ago, my level was 11. I was put on 50,000IU a week and that barely raised it. Then I was put on 100,000IU a week for several months and finally got it up to 35 about a year later. My endo said that I was now in the normal range, but the tests show that I don't process Vit D through food or sunlight and that I would always have to supplement. She lowered my dose to 50,000IU every other week to keep me in the normal range, but I was still in pain and noticed that my pain would get worse towards the end of the two weeks. I'm following the guidelines from "Stop the Thyroid Madness" and a few other books that say that Hashimotos patients feel better when their Vit D levels are over 80. I am also working on getting my thyroid hormone levels into optimal ranges as well. I am definitely feeling better and have a lot more energy than a month or two ago when I started. -
Ran 10K (6.2 miles) for the first time in my life tonight! I am beyond thrilled! Run: 6.2 (Goal 40) Walk: 23.5 (Goal 50) Bike: 0 (Goal 30) Total: 29.7

I was in a store with my 12 year old son this weekend and I tried on a size medium hoodie and it fit. He could tell how excited I was and came over and gave me a big hug and said "I'm so happy for you!" It was the best feeling celebrating losing 77 pounds with my son. -

It was in Orlando, but there were only 7,500 tickets and they sold out in minutes. We were lucky and got three (one for me, my son, and his best friend). It was an amazing event and very family friendly. Not sure where next year's Minecon will be, but I'm guessing somewhere in Europe. All the major Minecraft Youtube stars were there. They also had a private party for Minecon attendees at Universal Islands of Adventure.

Spent the weekend at Minecon (Minecraft convention) with my son, so only able to get my walking in. Run: 0 (Goal 40) Walk: 21 (Goal 50) Bike: 0 (Goal 30) Total: 21

I'm in. I have multiple AI disorders... PCOS, Hashimotos, and Lichen Planus (Oral). I also am being treated for Fibromyalgia, although I am starting to become convinced that my pain may be from extremely low Vit D and from the Hashis not being treated fully. -
I'm in! I'm going on a cruise this month, so my goals are lower than last month: Run: 40 miles Walk: 50 miles Bike: 30 miles Total: 120 miles

The 5K I ran today was amazing. The weather was beautiful and the race seemed to go downhill the whole way. I set a PR of 35:30. My former PR for a race was 38:45. The first 5K I ever ran was 45:00. Next race is a 10K in November. Hoping to run it in less than 1hr15min. -

I've been struggling lately with some knee and hip pain, but trying to run through it (not a good idea!). Took some days off to rest this week, but getting back on my program tomorrow morning at a local 5K. I'm still working my modified Hal Higdon plan for running the half marathon in February. I'm up to 5 miles for my long runs. Also, going to Maui and Lanai to celebrate my 1 year surgiversary with my sleeve sister in January and hoping to run the Maui Oceanfront 10K. Hope everyone has good runs this weekend!
