People are so jealous of you, that you are actually going to have help to lose weight, when they can't or won't. It is 100% jealousy, for the most part (if it isn't concern). There is this nurse at the hospital I work at and she was making fun of me because I'm fat and was telling all the nurses that getting that surgery won't help me lose weight. She told them how sick it made her to watch me eat and that she wanted to vomit just watching me eat. She's this skinny b***h that is always on a diet. I can't wait to lose weight and make her sooo jealous. People get jealous like that when relationships change. I'm much younger than her, much prettier than her, and now I'm going to be skinny too? And I'm almost done graduating nursing school. So it levels the playing field in her eyes. She considers me beneath her because of my weight. And now I'm changing it up on her. Let her be insecure and jealous, I don't care. I enjoy other people's jealousy. If you can't be happy for me than why do I care what you think about me? It used to bother me too, when people would say stuff and try to change my mind but once you have the surgery, they will 1. be happy for you or 2. be jealous of you.

I'm absolutely 100% in love with my husband and would never leave him. He has helped me through so much. He keeps saying to me, "It's going to be weird, you being skinny." I think me losing weight is pushing him AND me out of our comfort zones. He was "joking" but he said to me that he hopes I don't leave him for someone else. But he is also 100% supportive of me getting the surgery. He even took off a week from work, just to be with me when I first get my surgery. Fantasies are fantasies. That is where they will stay for me. For some people, they might be realities.

Six Weeks Post Op (finally under 300)

A message sounds nice! -
I met with my surgeon today. It was my last appointment before surgery! I have read so much about people having to do a pre-op diet for 2 weeks. My doctors said that the diet only shrinks your liver a little bit. He said he used to make his patients do the diet but then he tried the diet and it was awful so he doesn't make his patients do the diet anymore. Does anyone else not have to do a pre-op diet?

Has anyone tried the wonder slim products or bari wise products? I've been thinking about ordering some to try before I have my surgery but I don't want to waste my money. I need some ideas for after the liquid phase of my diet! Thanks!
-
Fonally, that is a very good article! So maybe it would be okay to buy some Wonder Slim Products, as long as it is not my only source of protein!?

This surgery is getting real now. I have my last doctors appointment on Thursday and they have penciled in my surgery date for February 26 at 8am. I can't believe that this is happening! This is crazy! I'm so excited for my new life. =)
-
Thanks everyone! My doctor hasn't said anything about me doing a diet before surgery but I was thinking about doing it anyway so he doesn't clip my liver. I have my last appointment with him on Thursday and I'm going to ask him if he wants me to do anything. Not sure!

Very good to know!

Companies should be required to list their EFFECTIVE protein instead of protein that can't even be metabolized by the body. What is the point of even having protein listed?
-
Very interesting!
-
So I need to look for collagen free products. Is there anything else I should look for? I knew those products were too good to be true!
-
Collagen is a protein, which is probably why a lot of their products are high in proteins.

Awesome! What is it like drinking? Does it feel different to you? Can you only drink a little at a time?
-
Do you feel like you are having a hard time maintaining 135 now? Jw...

You can always get a bypass and insurance will cover it. -

Why not get the vertical sleeve surgery first and if it is too bad to tolerate then get the gastric bypass. That's the beauty of the vertical sleeve, you can get it changed to a bypass. -
That is AWESOME! I wish I had a best friend to go through this with me. You will both be skinny b*****s together =)

I'm looking at more of the nutrition facts for the ensure and I think it has too many carbs and not enough proteins. Just a second thought!
-
I saw some ensure drinks that were clear liquids AND had like 9 grams of protein today at Target! They had peach and promegranate berry.
