    change of heart

I'm also 223 pounds and was considering the band for almost a year then one day my older sister said that I should probably look into getting the sleeve because the risk of complications are a lot less compared with the band. I have my first consult in feb and I want the sleeve.

  10. I was very active until I started Uni 3years ago and that's when I became the fat girl who lives in a glass case watching everyone around me living their life and I honestly can't wait till I break free from this prison I've put myself in. P.s my parents think I'm crazy lol, my mum tells her friends that "I'm not normal"

21 and wanting a new me

Hi makayla, I'm also new here and decided to have WLS, my first consult with my surgeon is in feb 2013 and I'm really excited/nervous and I can't wait. I'm 23yo and also a nursing student who'll be graduating next year (fingers crossed). I've been reading heaps of post were people have issues in their relationships after getting the sleeve done and this has become a motivator for me to become a healthier and happier person before mr right comes along lol. I wish you all the luck and success with this journey your about to take. ✌

Sydney peeps! Who was your surgeon?

Congrats Hun I'm so happy for you. I hope your finding the liquid phase tolerable, that's my main concern that I'll struggle throughout that phase I'm very picky when it comes to what I eat.

    Sydney Gal Waiting On Surgery.

Thank you so much guys I'm feeling more confident about choosing dr Taylor, I'm really excited and can't wait for the consultation to come along so I can begin this journey. I was just curious as whether you were self paying or covered by a health fund? I'm doing the private route because it is much more affordable for me. And if there is any differences in treatment? Thanks you again for all the support I really do appreciate it ill be the first person to be doing this type of surgery in my family and have no one that I can turn to. I'm so happy I found this app ????
