    Attention ! Australian Sleevers

Hi I have been lurking around this thread for a while now and decided to join in I'm a 23 yo studying a bachelors degree in nursing my current weight is 99kg, my starting weight was 102.3 kg I thought it was 104kg but my scale was wrong and my goal weight is 60-65kg, I'm on a one week pre op diet but I did it for two weeks. My surgery is this Thursday 7th, and I'm not stressed nor am I excited, I am more concerned about my Uni load and assessments. I'm scared that I will fail or struggle to keep up. My family on the other hand are very excited and can't wait for me to be healthy and happy as they have seen me struggle with my weight since I started going through puberty, I have 4 sisters I'm the middle child (my parents kept trying for a boy lol) Sorry for the long post

    Sydney Gal Waiting On Surgery.

Okay so I had my dietician and psych app a couple weeks ago and I was told that my initial weight was 102.3kg I was in shock because my scale at home for some reason gives me a higher reading. Anyway my surgery date is this Thursday and I honestly don't know what to take with me beside my toothbrush, retainer, hair care products and pjs + slippers. Is there anything I'm missing???

    Any March Sleevers?

So my surgery is on the 7th and I'm on a one week liquid diet. I have a party today and tomorrow and I know I'll be tempted to eat but I also know that I've resisted a lot of delicious meals for the last couple of days so I'm hoping I have the will power to keep going strong. P.s goodluck to everyone with their upcoming sleeves and well wishes for those who are already sleeved.
  6. Dr Craig Taylor is doing the surgery

hello im 23 and need some support

I'm also very scared that I'll die, it's constantly on my mind, but I keep telling myself if I don't do the surgery, I'll eventually get co morbidities and eventually die. So I'm willing to take my chances and hope for the best, because I want to live a long and healthy life.

    March Sleevers

Hi I'm 23yo from Sydney Australia. My surgery date is march 7th, I'm excited, nervous and worried because I'm having surgery during my first week back at university.

    Sydney Gal Waiting On Surgery.

Just remembered something that dr Taylor said about how he uses sutures and glue with the staples to decrease the risk of a leak from happening, that made my day, I think in a way that also helped me, because I know I'm with a surgeon who takes very serious care of his patients.

Thanks puppyphat, I needed to hear that, I'm happy I booked for the sleeve, but its out of character for me to go against a Drs. advice, so this will be the first time I follow my heart. I hope I look as good as you when I reach goal. Btw he put on a one week per op diet.

I weight 104kgs and my height is 167cm We discussed the pro and cons of each one and because I'm 23 years old he thought that with the band I can have the option to remove it later on and that maybe in the future there will be better options without having to do surgery or removing half my stomach

Okay so I saw dr Taylor yesterday, he said that I should consider the band because of my height and weight but my heart is set on the sleeve, so I've booked for the sleeve on the 7th march. I'm now so unsure of whether I should listen to him or listen to my heart.
  17. I drink tony ferguson shakes but I get really bad stomach pains and become very flatulent, and I was wondering if there is an ingredient that I should be aware of when purchasing Protein shakes? And if anyone has any suggestions for Protein Shakes that do not cause any unwanted side effects such as the ones mentioned above. Thanks ✌

How long did you take off work?

Was it difficult to only take three days off, Because I'm a Uni student and can't afford to take many days off
