Just wanted to add in an update, I have finally started not just maintaining but actually very slowly gaining some weight back which I am very happy about. I HAVE to continually keep a food journal and have to have at least 2 smoothies a or Protien shakes a day to keep my calories high enough to maintain and 3-4 a day to gain. I've learned how May calories my body has to have to maintain and gain. I would like to address the few negative comments and messages I recieved mostly about working out. When I lost weight it was not to feel better about myself it was to regain an active lifestyle that I was so badly missing overweight and so for me working out is a very important thing it's one of the main reason I had this surgery. I understand that everyone does this for there own reasons but that was an important one for me. For those of you who told me I just needed to stop working out and argued that I was continuing to do it for "control" issues you are incorrect, working out for me is a tremendous stress relief and I did have to modify my cardio and add in more strength training. I want to enjoy my new healthier body by getting out and using it, working out, going hiking, mountain climbing, riding bikes, running at the beach. I did have to learn how to have this lifestyle manage stress and figure out exactly how much calories/Protien my body needs. For the naysayers this does not mean I need counseling or have a problem and for those of you that have the opposite problem and messaged me because you where angry that I was "complaining" about losing weight I was not complaining I was reaching out for advice. I am sorry that some of you are not having the results you wanted and I hope that you are able to get the support you need and figure out what will work for YOUR specific body and lifestyle. Good luck to everyone on this journey and thank you so much to everyone who offered support and positive advice and encouraging words I so appricate you.

Thank you, I didn't think your post was rude at all, I fully agree that is very unusual. In the last month I have undergone a huge battery of tests, blood test, brain and spinal MRIs, pee test, and next I do some nerve testing. At this point other than being stressed and underweight I am very healthy as far as we know. But I have started food journaling again, and also started a health journal so I can see of there's any trends there that I'm not noticing. Yesterday started a planned menu with 1300 calories, 1500 is a bit much and at this point not very realistic. Hoping to get things under control here soon and get back to healthy. Just posted on here to see if anyone had been through anything similar so I don't feel so crazy, lol. Thanks everyone for the support and help.

That's a good idea, I'm sure I can add in a Protien smoothie a day. Saw my new doc and nutritionist last week, they where both unhappy with my weight, said I need to gain, but didn't really give me advice on how to. The doc told me to stop working out which is dumb in my opinion. I just worked hard the last year to change my life style and don't want to through it all away. If did switch it up so now I'm doing more strength work and less cardio every week.

Hey Everyone, It's been forever since I've been on here, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this same issue. I'm starting to get frusterated. I'm 17 months out from my surgery and was very fortunate to have had a mostly smooth weight loss journey along the way. A few hick ups here and there but for the most part a very successful journey, physically and emotionally. However right now where I am struggling is with stopping the weightless. It's so weird to be on the other side of this weight issue, first overweight and now underweight. Let me tell you people are just as cruel when your underweight as they are when your overweight! I've had a very stressful last 3 months with health issues with my children the Army moving our family and my husband coming home after a year gone to Korea. With that stress I have found it easier to avoid food instead of running to it when I'm stressed. Now I clean or workout when I'm overly stressed. Anyways I had stalled out at about 140, which was 10 pounds below my doctors goal for me and 5 pounds above my personal goal. However I was very happy with it, a size 7/8 looked great on me. I sat there for about 3-5 months and was hoping to stay there. I upped my calorie intake to 1100-1200 a day and was doing good, till January when I moved and, well life happened. I've tried to keep my calorie intake up but most days I get between 900 and 1000 a day, and my weight is continually falling the last 3 months. I've lost 30 pounds, 10 pounds a month which is my fastest weight loss ever and I am now underweight and way to skinny am I hate it. I am a size 2-4 which is smaller than I was when I was in JR High my husband is not thrilled with it as I am super boney, my ribs are constantly showing and my hips jut out like crazy. He's constantly afraid of hurting, which he accidentally does all the time. It's super frusterating, have any of you ever experienced this? How did you get the weight back on afterward? Any suggestions/support would be super appreciated. Thank you all and I hope you are all still enjoying your journey.

I went through with this life changing surgery 1 year ago tomorrow, it was the best thing I have ever done. It has taken a lot of physical and mental work to get back to healthy. Though this year has not been the easiest with other major health issues coming up it has been so rewarding. I am down 111 pounds with 5 pounds to goal, however, My original goal was 150 and I have meet and passed that so YAY! I am so excited to be moving forward with a new healthier, happier, more positive me. I know there are going to be many ups and downs along the road, much like this last year but now I also know that I can get through anything and come out happier and stronger on the other side. Here is a few photos from my last years journey.

80 calorie Greek yogurt vanilla is my fav, I think it's got 12g protein. 1/2 apple with peanut butter, sometimes a will eat 1/2 protein bar for morning and afternoon snack, veggis dipped in Humus.
-
I liked Isopure and they where my lifesaver the first month as I couldn't stomach the Protein shakes.

Alright, so I'm finally getting back on here. The Omega I have been taking has helped majorly with the pain I was having around my ribs. Still some but not very often. However the rest of the back issues are still there :-/ not worst or better. I'm just going to keep working on strengthening those fine muscles in my back. I am so thankful for the advice, the rib pain was miserable and now it is nearly gone, thanks guys.

Recommendations for a gummy multivitamin
Taradawn15 replied to GBFree82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just be sure if you switch to gummies that you get your iron in somehow. Sorry the chewables didn't work for you. -
How fast did you get to goal?
Taradawn15 replied to misslady's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm 10 months out, im 5 pounds from MY goal and hit the docs goal at 7 1/2 months. However everyone is very diff so don't base yours and anyone else's, and remember you can lose whatever about you choose to, it's totally up to you. Good luck -
Couldn't find it anywhere but online, I just got mine in the mail this morning and took some. Hopefully it will make a difference. I did find a diff. Kind that I didn't buy because I am not super informed about Vitamins. However I found a 45 day supply type at Sprout that are kinda like a gel, it comes in mango, orange and lemon and the clerk said she didn't mind the taste I love mango. It's got 1050 mg long chain omega-3 fatty acids. I will have to compare the two and see. Thanks again

Just looked up both of these exercises, I will try them. Honestly I am new to doing a lot of exercises/workouts and am super thankful for the advice and suggestions. The instructor for the circuit class after I told her about my back problems has been on top of me about really a making sure my posture is correct so hopefully that will help to. Thanks guys
