I am in Somerset, Bridgwater. I am French but have lived here for the past 10 years or more! I was banded in Deauville, France. I stayed at my mum's post op and she looked after me bless her. Go back every 10 weeks at the moment to see the surgeon. It is lovely as I get to see my family each time. A bit expensive though all this coming and going. Not too bothered though as I am not having a holiday until I am thin and beautiful!!! LOL!

Bun1, goog luck. One week to go and counting. Don't be too anxious, I am sure it will all go well. How long are you staying there post-op?
-
Keep going Doriso, you are just starting on your great adventure! How much have you lost since the banding? I lost loads in the first 2 weeks and never even realised. I was so preoccupied with the band and the scars, I never thought to weight myself for 2 weeks! LOL!

Why can't I have a good restriction last this! I have zero willpower...I need restrictoon! I shall have a word with the powers that be! Just think anon, with restrition like this you should definitely hit the 2 pounds a week mark! Lucky you! Let us know how you get on after you weight in!
-
That sounds like a good idea. I always think that my restriction is not quite right. I will chat to my surgeon about that on my next refill. This place is a mine of info...so glad I joined you bandsters!

LubertySuzanne, weighing once in a while sounds like a very good idea. Unfortunately, I am a very weak person and tend to weight myself most day. Whilst it can be depressing some days, I think it keeps my finger on the buzzer and keeps me going. If I weigh myseof and it is crap, I might feel depressed but I am so much more careful for the day! Anyway, today I have been goodish: Late Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs with a slice of bread Lunch/Tea: mixed salad with 5 boiled new potatoes. That should be it for the day. I may have a cup of green tea later if I feel peckish. PS: How but to have a curry.... I wish I could but it doesn't agree with me much since the op!

My dream is to fit in the same size clothes as my 2 younger sisters (both a disgusting size 8/10) so that we can swap clothes like they do on telly!!!!

I have an X-ray after every fill. Whilst it is expensive as mentioned by cookiesncream, it is much safer to check that everything is going down well. The only worry I have is that it does not show if the small "new" stocmach has stretched!? I am so scared that mine has. Any idea how that can be checked?

Mrs D, Could you tell me what is the normal format of the meeting? I like the idea of a support group...god knows I feel a bit lonely with my fat sometimes! :help: Could you give me more info on this support group and maybe let me know their next meeting date as I seem to have missed this one! :rolleyes Thank you!
-
Well put Mrs D. We all need a bit of cheering up sometimes...particularly after weigh in!!! LOL!
-
I would, I am from Bridgwater so just down the road from Burnham on Sea.

Anon I can only dream of a restriction that good. Roll on July and see if that makes any difference! Well done you, I hope for you that it lasts for a few pounds off!

I have been on today to have a look at that link you posted. It is quite cool. Would recommend others have a look too.

Today I had: Breakfast: 2 hard boiled egg Lunch: mixed salad with turkey breast and salad cream Tea: 2 fishcakes and pasta Snacks: NONE! I have been so good. just 2 cups of green tea to see me through the day!:clap2: Very good day indeed for me but will it last? Probably not cause I am going to an FA CUP final party tomorrow and will drink loads of Brandy! Never mind, back to seriousness Sunday!
-
Yesterday I had: Breakfast: bean soup Lunch: tuna wrap, half a packet of low fat crisp, a low fat yogurt bar Tea: turkey breast, 7 new potatoes Snacks: 3 cups of green tea and chicken samosa and one haribo (so glad I stopped at one for once!) I tell you what, writing it down puts it in perspective! It looks like I eat far too much. Maybe a bit of portion control might be in order. I am one of the lucky ones who does not like chocolate! So no problem for me on that front! It's the chips I have to be careful with!!!!!! :omg:

Hey guys, I am new on the Forum. That is to say that until now I read a lot of it but never joined in the discussion. Just found this bit on the brits. I am actually French but live in Britain so I guess that applies to me. You topic is great. I have loved reading all about people being extremely good and extremely bad too! I thought I was the only one feeling this yo-yo sensation! I am goind through a "good" patch this week. Have to as I went through the worst patch ever last week and put on 5 pounds!!!! I was disgusted. until now my weight has only ever varied by a pound at most. So my 5st loss is history. I had been plateauing for almost 6 months! Losing courage to be honest. I have tried all the different diets you can imagine and seem to be getting nowhere! I do not feel that restricted at all. The last fill, the surgeon told me that I was almost full (sorry cannot remember the numbers, will pay more attention next time) so getting a bit scared. Yet i felt no different at all after the fill. He has now agreed that he will fill me in July (my next appointment) if I have not lost anything by then. I am trying really hard but I get bored easily with food and actually I like food too much to be on a permanent diet. Anybody out there got any tips for me. this would be much appreciated as I feel I could do with all the support I can!
