Can I ask you all a question are you including your post -op weight loss or the weight loss from your actual surgery date? Some of these losses just seem extreme....if they are from your actual surgery date . If they are from you surgery date share your secrets with the rest of the december sleevers. Feel like we must be doing something wrong.

Thanks! Going to a support group today since I was sleeved in Houston and Live in Austin trying to find a support group here. Heading to Vitamin Shoppe. My surgeon is a vegan so he really tries to get us off the protien drinks. Like I am eating garbonso beans and kidney beans with some cucumber. But have not figure out how eating like that I can get all the protien in . Thanks for all of your inputs. If you are comin g up with any new food concoctions please post!

Where do you get it ? Does it have no flavor? Its pwder right how do you mix it in?

Why would your husband think of leaving because of the surgery? Are you really worried about that. You don't need that stress. Talk to someone. Maybe they can help you resolve this issure. This is your life. You only get one!! Really think you can find support here! Good Luck!

I had my surgery on December 13th. I really lost it the night before surgery! I don't think you are alone at all these feelings are normal! I was so afraid but so ready at the same time have been trying to get WLS for about 10 years. Changed the week before surgery from the RNY to the sleeve. I found the pain was tolerable. But, there is alot to fiqure out I think reading these posts help. No matter how much support you have it is really your journey you have to fiqure it out and battle through the emotions. I have lost a total of 28 including the 2 week pre-op. I really feel better already really! You won't die, just folow the quidlines and you will be fine! We are with you! Good Luck!

Sounds likr we are losing at the same rate. I was sleeved 12/13 . 19 semms others are loosing so much faster can't figure it out?

What weight did you start at? Are you exercising alot already! What kind of foods are you on ? Do you know how many calories you are taking in I am trying to track on myfitpal.com. Your doing great hope I ketch up!

No on mushy foods just got off puree! Haven't had the energy have been walking some but not heavy duty yet!

Thanks for advice had a pill went out and got the B-12 liquid hope it works!

Sleeved 12/13/12 starting to get worried down 18 3 wks out from surgery. How many calories are you all taking in? 24lbs since pre op.. But seems slower than you all. What could I be doing wrong?

Skinny within 2 lbs a day wow! How many calories are you taking in are you keeping track?

I am 3 wks nice point on the protein. I have also been having a hard time getting vitamins in too! What are you on?

My surgeon was Dr Garth Davis - The Davis Clinic in Houston. I don't know if you ever saw the tv show Big Medicine. That is where I first saw him and his father they had a show where they took 500lb 600lb patients. He's only 42. Google him he has a really interesting take on how to get the protien in . He has gone Vegan. Kinda of differant from most bariatric Surgeons. I don't think I could totally do that but I am going to try to do more fruits and veggies he puts pictures of what he eats. What us to get off shakes as quick as possible.I find I have to have something about every three hrs. My can't explain the feeling not sure if it is hunger or just feel like I need to fill my pouch. I am really tired too. It takes so much to get all the vitamins. Are you on alot? Protien and water!Since I found this site I spend to much time reading posts but it has been helpful. How would you know if you had a leak did anyone really explain that too you? Good talking to you . Your weight loss is great! Its 3 wks for me today . Weight at surgery was 295- I was 177.8 today. Feel pretty good about that. Let me know how you are doing!!

I think I must live close to you. Your surgeon is on Brodie Rd. I live in Circle C in Austin. I went to to Houston for my surgery. I was going to call the office on brodie and see if I could come to the support groups. Where did you have your surgery?

Cat, What are you eating to get all your protiens in? Are you still on purees? Are you on an acid blocker? My doctor did not put me on one?

I live in Austin was sleeve Dec 13 wrighting your user names so I can check in with you December sleevers I've loost 18 lbs since surgery date still seem to hold water! But I am still really tired hope when I start soft foods it will be easier to get all my protien in. Still hard for me to get all the water in too! Happydaisy We were sleeved the same day. Where was your surgery? How are you doing? I have lost 18 lbs since day of surgery. Not sure if that is good or not. Are you getting all the fluids in? Protien? I am still finding it is hard to do so. Have not really done much in exercise because of the fatique factor. Also my doctor fixed an umbilical hernia. Think that has taken a toll! Are you on an acid meds? My doctor did not subscribe one. Hope we get some energy soon. Are you still on puree foods?.
