    Tad bit perplexed

When it comes down to it we are responsible for our own actions. No one forced me to eat the way I ate, I did it to myself. Since I had this surgery I'm learning to eat healthy and it helps that I can only eat so much. The last couple of years I used the excuse of quitting smoking for my wieght gain, but I was always big, I just got bigger. I thought I was going to have a hard time even after surgery because I'm always around food( I'm a chef for a living) But that hasen't been the case, I really needed and really wanted to do this and get to my goal. Deep down we just need to find the will power to do this and not use any excuses. Sorry I've gone on a typing rampage here, keep focused and move toward your goal. Good luck.

I agree also with Laura-ven and Ms.Antiband, some of of the posts you have to read between the lines to get the info you need. I for the most part have really enjoyed what this site has helped me with.
  4. Great job, keep up the good work. It feesl awesome doesn't it!
  5. I flew from San Diego to Denver and then on to Winnipeg in Canada. The hardest part was from the gas pain from holding it in on the plane.

    down 70lbs

Awesome, keep up the good work. You look great!
  7. I never even thought of my hieght, but I think people with a high BMI should make sure so they are not surprized when they have to pay more. This is what this forum is for, to help those that are about to have the surgery. I know this forum helped me alot when I started my journey.
  8. My bmi was over 50 and I did pay $1000 more. I tried to lose the wieght and came up a bit short. I lost 23 lbs in the 3 weeks prior to surgery, I needed to lose about 26-27lbs. The thing is I am ussually 6'1.75" and when they measured me I was only 6' 3/4". All my extra wieght must have compressed my spine( only thing I can think of). When I got home I measured myself and sure enough I was shorter then I thought. I've lost 82lbs since surgery and have measured myself since and seem too have gained some hieght back. Just a warning for others to make sure your as tall as you think you are. I will say it's the best extra $1000 I have ever spent. Good luck.

  17. I had surgery with Dr Cabrera on Jan.17th. I went through Medical tourism and Regene answered every question I had. Pueblo Amigo Hotel and Casino was good. Staff very friendly and willing to help at any time. My wife at in the restaurant and said everything tasted good. I can't complain about anything and I'm lossing lots of wieght. Check out my tickers. Good luck to all up coming sleevers.
  18. I was sleeved by them on Jan.17th. I also had no problems since. Everything went great. Today is 10 weeks since I started the pre op diet and I'm down an amazing 71lbs. Thats 1lb a day and I had a stall that lasted 6 days. All I can say is unbeliveable. Glad your doing great, how is your wieght loss going?
  19. I started to get nervous the most once we arrived in San Diego. Once we arrived at Hospital Mi Doctor I really didn't have time to think any more, thing were going so fast. My wife told me later she was getting nervous with everything going on. I'm almost 6 weeks post op and wish I would have done this sooner. Once you see the Hospital and the staff and see your taken good care of you will settle down. Good luck on your journey and if you have any questions, pm me.
