I'm a Chef for a living and it can be hard at times, but I do have to taste things to make sure they taste right. I thought for myself it would be a lot harder than it has been. So far so good. The aroma of fresh bake bread makes me want a piece but I still have resisted it at 3.5 months out. Bread was always my down fall. Keep up the self control, it is hard but we will succeed.

Showing Excess skin on video & denial by insurance
Bigepc replied to brol1k's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Congrats on your wiebght loss, that is awesome. I am the same as you as I never take my shirt off in public. I was always embarassed the way I looked. I still have about 60-70 lbs to go and my Doctor said I will have excess skin. I'm lucky in a way that in Manitoba they cover the surgery if you losse more then 130lbs from what I understand. They don't cover wieght loss surgery I had to pay on my own. I hope you get approved and can have that taken care of. Good luck and keep us informed. -
Well done, way to go!

I was sleeved January 17. I was 405lbs pre op, lost 23 lbs on 3 week pre op diet and have lost 77lbs since surgery for a total of 100lbs. Everyone is diffrent. It seems the bigger we are the faster we lose at the begining. I have slowed down to 3-4lbs a week in the last month.

Thanks

I was sleeved on January 17 and today I am 100lbs down total. 77lbs since surgery and 23 from pre op diet. Soooooooooo happy!

How much weight did you loose pre-op?
Bigepc replied to rochelle25's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Mine was called a liver shrinking diet. It was 3 weeks of 3-4 protein bars and 3-4 protein shakes a day with as much coffee and water that I wanted. I lost a total of 23lbs. While in recovery the Doctor told my wife they know I followed the diet to a tee because my liver was tiny. -
Awesome, great job. Keep it up

Would You Have Weight Loss Surgery Again?
Bigepc replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I think it's up to each person to make thier own decision on this surgery once they are well informed about all the possible affects it can have on us. I have only been around this forum for a short time and like to hear both sides, but I don't think we should tell anyone they should or shouldn't have this surgery. What I have noticed is it seems people don't seem to have a clue about what to expect or what to eat or what stage they are at post op. You just have to read the posts and see the questions asked. These are things everyone should know before they have the surgery and from their Doctor. We are all grown up and have to make the best desision for ourselves, with as much information as possible. This site provides that. -
I still use my cpap almost 3 months post op, but can feel that using it is coming to an end. Sleep apnea is very serious, I used to snap for no reason and scared the hell out of people including myself at how I would lose my temper. Now i'm almost down 100lbs in 3 months and feel so much better. My only fear is that I wont be able to sleep without my cpap.

Great job, Keep up the great work.

Florance vs Mi hospital

Mi Doctor has free wifi. I had no problem talking to any of the nurses during the day. The ones that didn't speak much english worked at night, but there was always someone close by that spoke english. I found it to be clean. The bed, I've slept in better and worse. -
Awesome, keep it up.
