I would do it 100000's times over! I've had no issues, and am well over a year out (surg date was 1/29/13). I've reached my goal and feel great in body, soul and mind. I eat what I want, just a lot less of it. Life is good, and I thank God every day for my sleeve!

I wouldn't say that I've personally become more moody, but would admit to becoming more vain LOL!

What a difference a year can make - here I am at Christmas 2012 and after Christmas 2013! Thank you all for the support and for the ones who doubted when I said "I eat everything in moderation" - well - judge for yourself whether or not that taco bell taco hurt me at all LOL! I've been doing wonderful post surgery and consider my surgery a real success - ready to ring in the new year and loving my new life! 1/29 will be my official one year - Merry Christmas everyone and I encourage you all to take the journey - you won't regret it. Love to all-

LOL, thank you! I am proud to say, I do eat taco bell - just one little taco on occasion instead of 3 or more at a time, lol! Best of luck on your journey, if I can do it, anyone can! You will be so happy you did -

Congrats to all! I'm doing good too! Surgery date 1/29 (no pre op diet) and down 53 lbs from 223 to 170lbs. Size 12! I am SO HAPPY! Wanting to get to a size 10 or 8 for goal, but happy if I stay this weight too. -
It may be a little too early for it ~ I'm a little over 5 months out and can eat it just fine now though!

My dad is in his 50's and went through the same thing! He went from 48 pants to a 36. He was concerned because he hit his goal of 220 and the weight just kept moving. He's now over a year and a half out now and stabled out around 195 and has been within a couple lbs of that for the past few months. So eventually, the body does adjust -
I too went to Dr Thomas Borland! I'm 5 months out and feeling wonderful! No complications, no regrets. $9800 flat with no hidden fees!

Does eating get easier?
VSG_me replied to PaNailGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No worries, it DOES get easier! I'm 5 months out and can eat anything now - only difference is that I eat a lot less than I used to! I'd say by months 4 and on it's SMOOTH sailing for sure! -
I have sips of cold drinks here and there and I'm 5 months out. No problems here but then again, I'm not drinking much of it when I do have it
-
I can eat one slice, no crust Sometimes 1 and a half if it's small slices! 5 months out
-
I have a little cup coffee every morning, with splenda and vanilla creamer! Mmmm no problems here and it makes me regular LOL!
