Stalled and eating more
Sarahboy13 replied to wilecoyote's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Change something, if its your workout, the time you eat, what you eat, something, it may just be enough to trick your body. Good luck! -
Sounds crazy but up your calories by 100-200, sometimes the body just needs a change. Make them meaningful calories, extra protien or some veggies/fruit. Don't stress over it, we all hit stalls.

Sarahboy13 replied to riemem01's topic in Food and Nutrition
Drink what you can just take everything slow. I usually do one scoop of protein powder to about 8 oz of water but I never get it all in. -

How often do you weigh yourself
Sarahboy13 replied to Joe I's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I only weigh myself every two weeks at my doctors office, luckily it's right up the road :-). I have started stepping on my own scale, I may to throw it away....lol -
Ahi tuna and canned tuna are night and day different. ahi tuna is very moist and basically eaten raw, really high in protein :-). Hope you pick something yummy, I hate eating out, it seems like a chore and I waste most of the food. We do Japanese and I eat and appetizer and it feeds me for two to three meals.
-
I ate seared ahi tuna about 2.5 weeks out, just slow but it dissolves in your mouth.....yummy, still a weekly staple in my diet.

Sarahboy13 replied to AmandaRaeLeo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Reflux is giving me the FLUX!
Sarahboy13 replied to Patienlywtng on my Curves's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ask your doctor for Protonix, works wonders. My doctor hade me on it for the first two months. Try a piece of cheese if you can, it may help. I also found plain water set it off, try crystal light or add some cucumbers to your water for some flavor. Good luck -
4 days out and can FINALLY take a sip without pain!

Does the surgery help with energy?
Sarahboy13 replied to NewAshes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do you have sleep apnea? If you do and are not using your mask it could be causing sleep issues, I would check with your doctor. -
Protein Powder Questions for Pre-Op Diet
Sarahboy13 replied to Mom2Stella's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try frozen fruit if you can or a yogurt, usually helps! -
I could barely eat one egg at that stage. Slow down your eating and you will probably eat less. I am 3 months out and I still have a tough time with a whole egg. You should never have pain, that is from eating too fast and you are stretching your esophagus, also you may barf, go slow :-). Good luck!!

6 weeks post-op. Not losing ANY weight. :(
Sarahboy13 replied to nikkimyers1127's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are working out that could stall things, your body is in shock. Try upping your calories by 100-200 if you can, your body may be in starvation mode. Hang in there, it will happen. As far as the constipation, I am in the same boat, try prune juice once a day, it makes a difference, or if you can eat an apple, they are full of fiber.
