  1. Everyone loses at a different pace. Are you eating until it hurts or do you stop when you feel full? You really need to listen to your body and dont force your new stomach.
  2. I lost a lottt of hair. But its growing back! I cant really put my hair up now since I have short hairs everywhere! But its growing back fuller so Im super happy! I took Biotin pills every day and cut it shorter but it didnt do much for the loss.. It just one day stopped falling out! After about 9 months once my weight stabilized... Its just something we all have to deal with!
  3. I have a little on my stomach and legs but not much. I have pretty thick skin so that helped but doing sit ups every night definitely helps!
  4. Hey! So im also 5ft4. I started out at 240. I had a bmi of about 40, maybe a bit higher. The surgery itself went very well. I had no pain at all (no meds). Just some neausea the first 2 days. The best advice is to walk a lot! Follow exactly what the doctor tells u to eat. I had zero appetite for a good 3 weeks post surgery. I was only on liquids. I didnt cheat at all but I also had no cravings whatsoever. Dont eat anything ur not suppose to because that will just stretch ur sleeve and ull regret later on! My sleeve has not stretched at all so i still eat very little, but i eat many times a day. Every 2-3 hours. I get cravings now for some stuff but a few bites will be enough! I couldnt eat refined sugars the first year i would get horrible cramps! But that seeems to have gone away. Your surgery will go great! Just make sure to strictly follow your pre and post op diets!
  5. I didnt do much exercise in the first 6 months. Mostly just walking. I then started toning so i would do some weight training about 3 times a week. I also do spinning i enjoy it a lot! And sit ups every night before bed!
  6. I went from about 240 to 175 lbs after 6 months. It slowed down a lot after. Now im losing about 2-3 lbs a month.
  7. Thanks! Its the best decision I ever made! I feel great and I want to eat healthy and workout because of it. At first, some days are harder than others. But the end result is totally worth it. You just need to get use to your new stomach and not abuse of it!
  8. I only started really going to the gym recently. Before i would just walk a lot! I also do sit ups every night. I dont have a lot of excess skin, just a little in my legs. But ive started spinning which has helped so far!
  9. I started at about 240. Im now at 132.. 14 months post op
  10. Hey everyone Its been over a year now since my surgery. Ive lost over 100 lbs and I am now at my goal weight!! This surgery has definitevly changed my life and its the best thing I have EVER done! If anyone has any questions dont hesitate
  11. Hey! Yes. It is true that people tend to get off here after several months, there are some who come back after a few years! You can search in the threads or google it. What Ive noticed is that my body really really didnt need that much food! As long as you are careful with your vitamins and stay healthy there should be no long term effects! I hve spoken to several doctors about it. I am 8 months post op and I feel fantastic. I started at 235 and am down to almost 155 now. I have more energy than ever before. I was self pay also, who is your doctor?
  12. Its the best feeling in the world!!
  13. Thanks I try to get at least 3 workouts a week but I dont have much time with work and school so I walk alot!
