    Day#2

I don't know if it's the same for you, but my NUT said I could have sugar-free fudgesicles and that really helped my cravings, good luck!!
  2. There is nothing wrong with you, I was a slow loser in the beginning as well. My biggest suggestion would be to stop weighing yourself for a while and let your body recover. Remember to drink as much water as you can and make sure you're getting enough protein. The protein also speeds up the weightloss as well.

    Extremely Nervous

As far as my journey with the sleeve.. now (4 months post-op), I feel it was a great decision, however make sure you're extremely comfortable with your doctor. I was also one to say I would never in a million years have WLS, but here I am post-op! This journey will change your life. I had an extremely painful recovery, which I now know is very rare.. but I still would go back and do the same thing over again. Feel free to message me with any questions! Good luck!
  4. For me, it was tough but tolerable. Just try to find the light at the end of the tunnel! Day of surgery you'll be glad you stuck it through! My best suggestion would be sleep as much as you can and drink your heart out lol, but seriously drink as much as you can to fill your stomach. Also, surround yourself with people who you know won't tempt you with the wrong foods. You can do it!
  5. I just got sleeved on the 4th and still in the hospital, going to go home today after some tests. Make sure you ask for a higher dose of pain meds if you are in pain and don't hesitate to ask for anything because its their job! At first they Had me on a paid med that was not strong enough so as soon as I got up to the room I made sure I got stronger stuff and it makes so much difference. Good luck!
  6. The pre-op diet is all liquids and it varies how many days depending on your weight, the nutritionist will tell you. Over all if you can get past the second day of full liquids then you're good because for me the first and second day were pretty hard but if you're motivated, you can do it!
  7. Hi everyone! After months of waiting, the big day is exactly a week from today! If your surgery date is near the 4th or on the 4th of January, please shoot me an email! I need the support from all of you, and it would be nice to have a sleeve buddy! Day 1 of pre-op diet! Scary but exciting! Good luck to all of you!

    Who Are You?

Hi! My name is Lauren and I'm newly 20 years old. I do not have any children and I'm currently in college. I will probably be one of the youngest ones to post here, as I am one of my doctor's youngest patients. Both of my parents are average weight, along with the rest of my family. I believe that I just picked up the horrible habit of eating when I'm stressed, happy, or sad. Growing up I was always dieting and It's finally my turn to be happy. My surgery date is January 4th, 2013 and I'm beyond ready to escape this body.
  11. My surgery date is Jan 4th! I need buddies too! lol
