  1. I agree with you that she may need a wake up call but there is a way to do it and a level of respect that doesn't seem to be shown. A lot of the things being said would not be said face to face even to people's friends let alone in one of the physical support groups. Advice can and should be given especially since she is asking for it but to make comments about why did she have the surgery, etc like it's such a surprise that we don't always stick to the plan is ridiculous. That's what I'm referring to.
  2. These threads are a real trip because I cannot believe how judgmental people are. This is a support network and I am new here but probably will get on another site because honestly it's one thing to be up front with someone but to just downright come down on them is uncalled for. She indicated she is really emotional and we all have had this surgery because we have food issues so this slip up while frightening is I'm sure, not unheard of. If you have this thing licked, then constructively help the rest of us that don't.
  3. I forgot to mention that I have been able to get my fluids in with no problem so you are not alone with that. Also have been surprised at not having problems getting the protein in after the first few days.
  4. I was sleeved on 12/18 and am on liquids until next Wednesday. This is very hard for sure. I have had thinned mashed potatoes and also cottage cheese which is allowed. Here is the thing, this is really tough and there are a lot of people that post that everything is just dandy and that is great but everyone is different and there are going to be ups and downs with this. I am really surprised that you were able to eat what you did and I think the best way to look at it is not to take it and run but rather to realize that you were given grace and now need to get right back on track. You definitely don't want to harm yourself in any way. The food will wait. This is a lifelong lifestyle change and you can do this but you have to come up with strategies for the tempting times because they will always be there. I'm really preaching to myself and I will confess that my son is home from college and there has been food and treats EVERYWHERE! He made oatmeal choc chip Cookies and I took a couple very small slivers of the "corner" and did okay but was afraid to go any further! Get back on track, we can do this.
