  1. Good call. Got these today (caramel) and they are really tasty!! Thank you.
  2. Thank you for the information. I didn't know that I was supposed to be looking for a particular kind of calcium chew (beyond one that tastes good). Very helpful!
  3. My NUT gave me one at my last follow up appointment. I think it says something about te cardholder having had WLS and suggests they be allowed to order off the child's menu or a reduced portion. Not sure which restaurants around me will accept it. We'll see I guess.
  4. Did anyone get specific guidance about number of fat grams, sugar grams, carbs we are supposed to stay below in a given day? I was told to try to get at or below 800 calories. And I was given guidance about how much sugar and carbs should be in a protein shake, but I don't have anything about what my limit should be in a given day. I'm sure I can get it from my NUT but always like to hear what others have been told. I am using Fitness Pal to track everything and I keep coming in below my calories every day but will have 1 gran too much fat or something (which hardly seems possible). Not sure how much stock to put into that aspect of the app since it also tells me every day that I am starving myself. Lol

    Numbers

I am six weeks out tomorrow. Was 206 on day of surgery. Am 184 right now. Been stuck here for about 5 days but I'm sure it will pick back up. Exercising and getting in all my protein with no problem. Coming close on fluids every day, but almost never get to 64. Today I will.

Forgot to say that I was given specific guidance on amounts of protein and water so I'm clear on that.

    All of my December sleevers...

Sleeved 12/3. Starting weight 224. Surgery weight 206. Now at 184, so down 22 pounds in 6 weeks. Doesn't compare to what others have lost in a shorter period but I am trying to focus on not just the scale but how my clothes feel, etc. surgery day BMI was 37.

    Why am i craving sex

I had no idea we are more fertile after surgery. Learn something every single time I visit this site.
  9. I think I might have had unrealistic expectations. My boss had bypass surgery last year and I remember seeing her a month out and she looked like a different person already. I think I pictured the same happening for me. I'm trying not to be discouraged and not forget that we started from very different places. I was 223 at my biggest, 214 before pre op diet, 206 on day of surgery. Today I am 185. Surgery was 12/3 so today is exactly 5 weeks post op. She was over 300. My doc tells me that people who start at a lower weight with a lower BMI ( mine was 38.4 at my biggest) will have a different journey, but when I come on here I see others who started from a similar place who have already lost way more than me. Anyone else feeling a little discouraged? Overall, I'm sooo glad I did it. Just need to find my patience with the marathon and stop expecting a sprint.
