Coffee + Upper Stomach pains ?

Thank you, I'm feeling better, like I said I'm a college student, and graduating in two weeks - I am going to see him right when I get home - til then - he said to be VERY careful of everything I am eating - which honestly I follow the rules to a T and this is the first bad thing that has happened. The same thing actually happened to my mom when she was my age and she went through rapid weight loss - but thank you for all the advice!

Coffee + Upper Stomach pains ?

Just in case anyone searches this thread in te future - and becomes confused like I was - It was a gallstone attack. Horribly uncomfortable even 6 hours later. Hot shower on my back had been the only thing that has helped.

Coffee + Upper Stomach pains ?

He said it was most likely a gall stone attack - since I still have mine - and caffeine can trigger it. And it was expresso technically- so it's stronger. He said at 4/5 months I could have caffeine but didnt suggest it.

    December 11 sleevers

I was sleeved 12/12 and at 213. Was 268 before surgery - 250ish day of. I probably get 700-1000 calories a day now. I carry a camelback with me everywhere and exercise an weight train every day except Sunday! Feels good to know I'm almost under 200! Congrats to you as well!

    alcohol

My surgeon told me yesterday at 1 month I can try it - but I am in my 20s - he told my parents at least 2 months - and he warned me that half a glass a wine can get me drunk (just like what other people have said) but again, your surgeon will know what's best for you.

Hi! I know its hard to not want to have a drink when you turn 21 or have a drink with friends, but talk to your doctor about when the earliest is. I'm 22 and just got sleeved last week and am not telling my friends. Its going to be tough to all of the sudden disappear - from outings with people my age, but it will be worth it when I am healthy just like all of them! but like everyone else said it's not worth a chance at harming your new stomach! Just remember why you did it! you will be happier when you start seeing results!
  12. The thing about RNY is - that it IS reversible. Both my parents got it this summer and has changed their lives (my dads diabetes is practically cured) I think when it comes to your health or how much weight you have to lose - you just have to think about if its worth it. Everyone is different - my mom can practically eat anything a sleever can - (chewed well anyways) except carbonated drinks. She said more than anything it just made her not want soda (and she is more of a wine drinker anyways) My dad is a total health nut now with all the weight he has lost and so nothing bothers him anymore. I just got sleeved on 12/12 and yesterday was questioning if I made the right choice - thinking about all the nasty protein shakes and mushy foods - but each day has gotten better. after seeing how healthy my parents are and how much progress people have made on here - i am beyond excited and am glad i made the choise because i am excited to start having a healthy lifestyle! best of luck to you!
