My name is Lee Ann, I am German and Cherokee Indian. I am 41 years old. I have been married to the love of my life for 26 years. His name is Jeff, he is hispanic. I have 3 Beautiful children, my son is 23 and my twin girls are 22. I was sleeved on 12/4/12, I have lost 40lbs so far. Oh yeah I live in Burleson, Tx just south of Ft. Worth. I grew up in Dallas. That would be great if we could all get together and meet one another face to face and celebrate our accomplishments. -

Wow you look great! Congratulations, I can not wait until I loose all this weight. You my dear are a great inspiration!!!! :-) -
I use Nopalina. It has Canadian flax seed, psyllium husk, wheat bran, oat bran, edible cactus, senna leaves, apple extract, orange extract, pineapple extract, and grapefruit extract. Says it provides Omega 3,6 and 9 it has worked for me so far. It keeps me regular. I found it at whole foods and Im sure you can find it on line.

Hormone replacement therapy. I really dont think it would slow your weightloss down. You might be a slow loser like a lot of us. I stoped taking my hrt before my surgery so that I could deal with the hormones that were and are in my belly fat. So far not as many hot flashes and the weight is coming off slowly but it is steady.

Probably is your potassium low. I guess you can try gatorade or maybe propel water. As for fatigue, are you taking your vitamins and getting your protein in?

have any one regret getting sleeve
leeann71 replied to Yiraini01's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You need to get some Gas X strips they really do work and so does walking. Everyday will get better. Try and keep positive it makes the time fly faster. Sleep all you can and make sure to get your fluid in. That is the most important so you wont get dehydrated. Worry about your protein later, try some gatorade it might godown easier. Keep us up to date. We are here for you, it will get better you have to believe. :-) -

I confess I feel like I have been living in a dream and none of my weightloss is true. I also confess I feel like Im getting a little depressed everyday, dont know why either. I also confess that reading so many post everday sometimes makes me feel they are about me and my life. (The sad ones). I confess I think I have made some pretty great friends here on this forum. -
Why would you want to put your body through so much more stress than you have to? Let your body heal and then do lipo like a year or so. The VSG surgery is tramatic enough, you shouldnt want to over do it. Good luck what ever choice you make.
-
Ofcourse I eat cheeseburgers lol. They are 100% veggieburgers. They are Bocaburgers lol made on the grill. I dont do much groundmeat, cause I dont want to eat the scraps from other meats gross.
-
I know what you mean about fast food, to me the presevatives inthat food alone is like you are embombing your body when you eat it lol. And yes there will be somethings that your new tummy will not like, but there will also be alternatives to those things. You will do great and from the sound of it you already are. Just stay positive and the outcome will be the greatest reward I promise.
-
Hunny you will be fine. Those foods you are gonna miss will always be there. Later on after the surgery you will be able to eat what ever you like just in smaller portions and in healthier alternatives. Its not good bye forever just for a little while. Good luck we are here when you need us :-)
