When can I eat "real" food!?
leeann71 replied to bigchange's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hang in there bigchange. Let your new stomache heal. Keep eating the foods you are suppose to eat right now and dont rush it. Some of the items you have mentioned that you want to eat will be really hard on your new stomache. You can do this, keep positive and these head hunger feelings will pass soon. -

Just wondering if you have tried to go back to first phase of surgery eating. Try doing protein shakes 2times a day and then a sensible dinner. Always remember protein first then veggies and carbs. Eat like every 3 hours to stop the hunger. I know if you eat fiber to, it keeps you full longer. Good luck keep us up to date. Oh yeah drink lots of water to help flush out the fat and to keep you hydrated. One more thing lol, are you mistaken hunger for thirst? Try drinking fluids and then if you still feel hungry eat some protein. Hope I helped in someway if possible.

Msskinniness Thank you for these postings they will help tremendously. Good luck on your journey :-) -
Had some laughs, smiles and some I can't believe people are the way they are. I really hope that some of the people who are here realize that I believe that this forum was started for people who have questions, concerns and to find out how other people were doing with their sleeve. There are just too many negative people on this site. I will say some want to help and some want to make you look and feel stupid. And as for the vets who are sick and tired of the newbies asking questions. Remember you were a newbie once and I 'm pretty sure no one was a smart azz to you like you are to some of the posters here. Good luck, keep your faith newbies it will all get better. Please always remember treat others the way you want to be treated.

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
leeann71 replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Aussie reading your story just broke my heart. I feel the same as most on here. What broke the camels back for me was realizing that I just didnt love myself anymore. I had given up on losing weight and on life really. One day I woke up and remembered that my family loves and needs me nomatter what I weigh. I knew it was time to really do something about it. So that someday I will be here for when I have grand children and when 2 of my children get married. Also for my husband, I promised him we would grow old together. -
You will be fine. Try and keep your diet going in the right direction. Good luck, when you get a craving or hungry drink a protein shake.

Pain after surgery
leeann71 replied to marielalovesherfamily03's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
While your in the hospital is when your worst pain will be. Everyday that goes by it gets way better. The most important thing to do is walk as soon as you can. And when you get to drink make sure to sip sip sip sip and sip some more. I would say in all from worst pain to no pain at all was about a week. -
Maybe chapstick? Congratulations to you. I wish you speedy recovery and a noncomplicated surgery. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
