I am a newbie and have read a little about slider foods. Can you tell me some foods to avoid because they are sliders? I read popcorn, shakes, ice cream and chips are sliders to avoid. Any else?

Gallbladder removal: friend or foe?
cyncitygirl posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a gallbladder attack on my first day of work at a new job! It was embarrassing and painful. Sooo painful! Now I have to decide if I want to get my gallbladder removed before my old work medical insurance ends at the end of this month. Some people (incl Kaiser Dr) says the only long term solution is to remove it while some people say Hollistic medicine can dissolve gallstones. I am 5 months post op and have a good diet. I can't afford o have these attacks uninsured while I wait 90days for new insurance to kick in. Has anyone had good or bad experiences w either western medicine or Hollistic treatment of gallstones?? Thank you!! -
I was complaining about how much weight I still have to lose an my fiancé showed me these "before" pictures of me to show me how far I've come since being sleeved in Jan2013. I have lost 50lbs and feel great. I still have a lot to go (50-60lbs) but I can't believe how big I was when I started. I feel sad for that girl but I ain't her anymore! ????????????

Gallbladder removal: friend or foe?
cyncitygirl replied to cyncitygirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you all for answering. I'm pretty convinced to go and get it removed now. Yes the pain is unbearable and very scary! It lasted for hours!!! My question is are you experiencing any side effects from having your GB removed like IBS or nausea or abdominal pain? I realize it may be difficult to decipher the pain from GB or sleeve but I guess I'm asking is your quality of life worse, the same, or better? Thank you for your time! -
I just wanted to share some motivation to remind us to keep going and be good to ourselves.

Can anyone remind me of the "ideal" ratio of each to eat is? Today I tried so hard not to eat a lot of carbs. I had no starch but the fruit I ate put me to 63g of carbs. I had 86g of protein and 38g fat. I thought I did so good today and now I'm thinking my numbers are high. Any thoughts? And I swam laps for 45min

Stopped losing weight

I'm glad I read this. I know it's normal to stall but I've been between 217-220 for 4 weeks!!! I have even started working out more and packing my own healthy meals, drinking shakes in the am. I don't get it. It's so frustrating. I feel like my body is comfortable at 220 bc I have been at this weight before and for a long time. And because I had the Lapband before I can eat more than other people. I hate it bc I feel like I can easily eat 1000 cal a day. I have to really watch it. Ok back to counting my calories!!! -
No that's cool!! Or be able to walk to Middle Earth. Lol
