You're right. I looked at the label and 13g of fat os wayyyy too much for the taste. I'm just sick of everything I've been eating. It's all the same (cottage cheese, eggs, beans, chili, Greek yogurt). I am yearning for some carbs!!! When did you guys start lifting weights. I'm barely 4weeks and I want to take a class to lift weights but sometimes my main incision site still hurts or throbs sometimes so I hesitate. I have been swimming for a workout and that feels great. Any suggestions?

Yesterday I heated up two turkey meatballs (they were from a bag of frozen Farmer John from Costco) and poured two tablespoons of marinara and topped it with one ounce of mozzarella cheese and heated up in the microwave for 2 minutes. Soooo good. And it wasn't too much or too little. It's my new fave meal. I think I'll have it for breakfast right now.

Have you had your thyroid checked? I think about it daily. Did I need to cut out my stomach. Then I remember why I was. Yesterday my friend made a steak dinner with potatoes and salad and wine. I ate 3/4 of a filet of tilapia and a piece of a potato instead. The potato sat heavy in my stomach. Didn't feel good. But it tasted so good I had another piece. I made myself throw it up (not the norm and it was already on its way up) to rid myself of the discomfort. My reminder was just that: I would have eaten the entire steak meal w potatoes and wine and had dessert after. I like big portions. The sleeve helps me portion myself. I still have to make good choices. And I don't get as hungry as I used to. That's alllll sleeve baby. I remember feeling like a fat loser when I would eat a big meal then feel hungry a couple hours later and others weren't at all:0/. This helps regulate my hunger. I think on a normal day I ate 2,500 calories and on a day I didn't care maybe even 3000. I have always dieted but its always seemed soooo much harder for me than others. Good luck in your decision. It's a big decision and doesn't come without grieving the loss of a part of you (most of a major organ and a comfortable habit or gorging).

When can i eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwiich?
cyncitygirl replied to cyncitygirl's topic in Food and Nutrition
Thanks everyone. I can wait considering oatmeal is heavy on me so I can imagine bread. I am tracking my food on MFP and while all I'm eating is small servings of cottage cheese or eggs and beans, the chart keeps showing that I am having 1/3 carbs 1/3 protein an 1/3 fat. I'm not sure how to make protein higher than the others. Grrrr any suggestions? Any one care to post a pic of their MYP daily diary of a successful eater? -
I can't wait to be able to wear boots!!!

Thinking Of Revision!?

Well thank you. You sound like what my surgeon said. And it's true. I guess you hear on here these Peoria losing so fast it's hard not to compare or think am I doing this wrong? Today was my first day workin out besides walking. I swam for 45min and I loved it. Swimming laps is my therapy. I am a 29yo female 5'4.5 started at 260. At surgery was 243. Today I'm 235. When I had the Lapband I was 175-200. I can't believe I gained so much weight after the band. The lap band is a miserable way to live. Just thinking about it makes me want to throw up. -
What's the verdict on getting protein in through smoothies? I love fruit and I enjoy eating it raw but if I can't have it, can I get an all fruit smoothies with protein from Jamba Juice? Is that too much sugar? But oh how I miss my natural goodness.

Yeah I drink Premier shakes for breakfast too. I didn't mind them but lately have been getting sick of them so I took two days off and started again today. The muscle milk light is disgusting. Premier is the best way to boost my protein where I need to be.

Haha week two I snuck in two cheez-it's. I grinded them with my teeth to a pulp. They were delicious and nothing bad happened. But now they are just a memory. Lol. It gets better!!!!

It sits amazingly and I can drink a whole 16oz:( after I drank that last week I thought wow that is dangerous. Yeah I will stay away. But I am sad that I can't bite into an apple!!! (I'm 3weeks out)

I too have a sleeve revised from the band. I just met with my surgeon and was sad I haven't lost a lot and he told me the research shows that people who have a sleeve after a band lose slower because they don't feel as much restriction and their body is used to the small portions. He said its slow loss for us but we will lose. Hope that helps. For dinner I measures out 1/2cup of chili with Beans with melted cheese on top. I ate 1/2(2oz) then two hours later ate the other half.

So today I had pho. Well I drank the broth. Had about an ounce of noodles and 2 ounces of brisket. I left the bowl full of noodles. That's a first. I'm loving the sleeve.

Has anyone had pho after the sleeve? I'm dying for some but am on the puréed stage. Maybe just the broth to get the flavor??? When can I eat the noodles and the thinly sliced meat? I love pho!

Thinking Of Revision!?
cyncitygirl replied to rxtine's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I was banded in 2009 and had it removed in 2011 because my life was miserable! I was waking up hurling out of bed to wake up vomiting all over the floor. This happened weekly. Turned out my port cut into my stomach and eroded. When my surgeon toke it out he said he found old pieces of lettuce and food. Gross. My surgeon made me wait a year to get the sleeve because of all the scar tissue/trauma my stomach had. And in that time I had gained all 80lbs lost plus 20. I gained 100lbs!!! Only me would gain that much! Ugh when I gain, I gain!!! I almost didn't get the sleeve because I was scared to get hurt or be in pain again. kaiser paid for everything and made me take a 3month class. It helped. I was sleeved on 1/10/13 and so far I am happy. BUT I saw my surgeon 1/23/13 for my post op and was sad I only lost 25lbs total with 12postop. I told him I felt like I was behind. He told me ppl w revision from band to sleeve lose slower bc they don't feel the restriction. I'm lot sure that's good. Ok so will I lose what I need to ever? I don't know but I know I'm going to do everything to stay healthy. Get that lap band out!!!! I Dont think they are safe. They are not natural:(. Good luck with your journey. -
