So do you guys know someone with a completely healthy relationship with food and what does it look like? By this I mean they rarely over eat, they eat healthy, they don't snack when they are bored or sad and they can say no to their favorite foods? Are alllll skinny people not addicted to food and we are the only ones? I doubt that. I do think some people have more will power, better genetics or exercise way more so they balance out. My activity level has contributed to my weight gain along with my need to like big quantities of food I enjoy.

This is a good question. I am addicted to the thought of food and the pleasure it will bring. Does that make sense? So yes I am addicted to food. Everyday is a struggle to make good choices and not give in to cravings of food I know taste great (I have a major sweet tooth but lost some of it w the sleeve, not totally). I do feel like an addict when I go the entire day eating healthy and have to ruin it at the end of the day by eating a piece of chocolate or eating late when I'm not hungry. It's like I have to have something else because the day went so well. It's in those moments I feel like a victim to food. I eat more when I'm bored or think of something delicious. Could it just be that I love the taste of food? It's not that I eat when I'm sad, I love all kinds of food and the cultures. It's an experience. Is that bad??

I made tuna with tomato, avocado, greens and wrapped it in mini seaweed paper

It was satisfying and doesn't feel like I'm missing out. Tonight I made it w canned tuna but I have also had it w imitation crab sticks and when I'm fancy I used real king crab legs. I love seafood. The seaweed packs are at Costco.

I agree with everything everyone has posted. I find cottage cheese very filling with one spoonful as well.

Ok this is TMI but I feel so gross that maybe some one here will understand. I am on vacation right now so I haven't been drinking Water as consistently and I left my fiber pills at home. Well I hadn't gone in three days and I felt like Rocks were sitting in my stomach. Boy was I right. I just had the most painful BM and there was lots of bleeding. It was so much backed up and so hard I can't keep going like this. I don't want to get hemorrhoids . Before surgery I was very regular and now it's a pain in my ass, literally. Ok I will try you suggestions. Thanks. Sorry for the details.

Today I are at Baja Fresh and ordered the skinny wahoo fish bowl (no rice sub more beans though next time I think I will sun more veggies). It is 3 pieces of grilled mahi 2oz each and a bowl w cabbage, black beans and this really good mango salsa. It's so good. With out the rice it came to 459 calories and it lasted me three meals (lunch, snack and dinner). It's gonna be my new go-to if I have to eat out.

In Desperate Need Of Help
cyncitygirl replied to rochelle25's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I didn't have to do a liquid diet just a diet and diet class and lose 10% of my weight. I kind of wish I had to do the liquid diet because once I was sleeved the liquid phase was such a shock to me. Rochelle if you choose the sleeve just know the first two weeks of recovery are hard emotionally but it passes. You will be happy once you are recovered. I know I am. And now you have us! Did you add the app to your phone? It's my daily check routine on my phone. Always something new to learn or motivation -

I am in your boat! Our stats are similar! Pre-op:260 SW:244 Current weight:219 Surgery date 1/10/13. 3 months out. I was losing steadily and when I finally get in this groove of more workouts and a higher pace, nothing!! I can't break past 219. The scale goes between 219-222. Gimme a break!! But I send feel smaller and more fit. I just hope in a month I see a big difference. Hope my body recognizes the effort I'm making!! Please keep me posted on your weight loss!! -
