Sitting in a room full of McDonalds

It's true. While yes the cheeseburgers smell good, its also like I'm wearing a live vest and watching everyone else drown and they don't even notice. After all, the moment passed and the food is gone, the smell is gone, and I did not partake. I think I will celebrate with some puréed chicken soup and a nap. Ahhhhh. ???????? I felt like I just got some help from my "sponsor" or something. Haha thanks everyone. Until the next temptation....

Sitting in a room full of McDonalds

Yeah thanks! In keeping my head done and reading this board to distract me until they are all done eating. I should have packed something bc now it has been hours since I ate... Lessons Learned.

    Full feeling

I wrote the exact same thing! I would eat 4oz of puréed Soup then just stop. I wasn't hungry but didn't have a full feeling either. It's weird. I was sleeved 1/10, 1 day after you. I'm going to trust what others say that foods will be harder to eat. For now I eat 4oz of puréed at a time and one shake. I am averaging 600 calories a day. I have no problem drinking either. ???? I am glad to hear I am not the only one.

New sleeve but iit doesnt feel restricted

Today I am on vacation in San Diego and on the puréed part of this life. It was very hard because there is the smell of Mexican food everywhere and all there displays of ladies making hand made tortillas. Oh man. I think I waited to long to eat dinner and my 300calories had burned up by dinner because I felt weak and dizzy. I ordered chicken tortilla soup and drank the broth and ate the avocado. The avocado was so good and it did fill me up more than anything else I've had these last few days. I surprisingly wasn't that tempted by dessert which used to be my kryptonite. Now I'm just craving to use my teeth!!!! Lol. Anyway, I did remind myself of my goal and that I WILL eat again, all in due time. And seeing my family eat so much and so bad (they ate friend ice cream) made me glad I was in control. I just vented on here. Sorry. My boyfriend is probably tired of hearing all my symptoms or cravings or he just doesn't get it so I said it here. . Phew.

Glad I'm not the only one!! I start soft food on Wednesday and I would like to feel restriction (maybe I spoke too soon). Can anyone list some good soft food? I'm excited for eggs, beans and cottage cheese!!! Yum

    Cant quench my thirst!

Ok I have two odd symptoms since being sleeved on 1/10/13 and that is my vision is blurry when I where my glasses that used to help me see perfectly. Now I can only use my glasses to see far away but if I use them to look on my phone or type everything is jumbled. I took the patch off my ear in hopes it would give me immediate relief but it hasn't. Will this ever go away?! It's scary. How will I drive if I can't see well?:0/ Secondly, I can't seem to quench my thirst!! I just spent the last 2 hours drinking 24oz and earlier today I drank Water. I can't get rid of this dry taste in my mouth. I have no moisture. Cotton mouth. Anyone else ever experienced that??

    Newbie :)

Hi My name is Cynthia. I got sleeved 11 days ago and I am 29. I got this surgery bc I really want to have a baby soon and I decided I don't want to be obese and pregnant. So here I am, post-op and reminding myself every minute that I want to eat real food that I have a reason:0/. Glad I'm not alone.

    Cheeseburgers?

Umm is this normal? I am only two weeks out and am thinking about my future portions. Do you feel okay when you eat? Are you able to eat everything you try?

    Great Greek Yogurt Idea

May I ask what egg faces are? I love Greek yogurt! I used to put honey in it but I heard you can't post op. did they say no to free flavored cups like the 110 cal strawberry Greek yogurt cups?
  17. I know this is going to work in the log run but the MyFitnessPal app says based on my calories I will not lose because my body is not consuming enough calories (1st week 300-500 calories) and my body will go into starvation mode and slow down my metabolism. So how does this surgery stop this? I am also really dizzy today. Typing is difficult and blurry. I don't know how to remedy this- if it's calories or my anemia. I have been drinking water... Anyone have any info??

    Newbie: Trying to decide

Oh wow James!!! I am a week and a half out and I am already worried that when I finally eat solids I will gain weight. Can you tell me what has worked for you? Do you drink one shake a day? Two? None? I think you may have lost quicker because you're a male but I am inspired!!!
