    Web page for SPOUSES?

For my insurance I have had to do 6 months worth of classes doctor visits and support groups..my hubby has gone to every single thing with me and asks I think more questions than anyone else lol it has been great having his support, he doesn't have any weight or food issues but he has changed his eating habits, uses MFP to log all his food and encourages me whenever I need it. Keep your spouse involved as much as possible since it is part of his life to that is going to change even though its your journey

Sounds weird huh? I started my program in january and was told I had to lose 10% which is 30lbs for me. I am now 25lbs down and my finale doctor visit is June 10. I dont know how long your program is and what it entails but slow and steady is all I can say, work towards making better choices use an app like my fitness pal, lose it spark, people etc to keep track. The first couple months I had a lot of "this is the last time ill be having this" or food funerals but as I made changes and educated myself of life post op it has gotten easier. Look at this as just another step closer to your healthy life your sleeve is just a tool and we have to change the habits and behaviors that got us to this point, be strong you have a lot of support here!
  8. Dont take this wrong but if its military (nothing against military mind you) its government and that is why its 4 to 5 days
  9. Another area that all programs are different in, a lot depends on insurance also. My doctor said 2 days as long as im getting some fluids in.

    Defining A Higher Power

Im an Agnostic, I cant believe in the bible or a god anymore than I can believe in witches and wizards but because I do believe we have souls and cant fully explain at this moment I cant say im an Atheist...for me and my addictions (food sex love) I have to find it within myself to find peace, talking to some of the people who have hurt me. To forgive, and try every day to live my life in a positive way, to smile and try to make others smile. Dont think I added much to this thread but its a good topic

    Gettiing closer?

Check out tho insurance section on here there are a lot of threads with people who have BCBS
  12. I started my 6 month pre op program in January, june 10 will be my final visit I was required to lose 10% which was 30lbs, I have lost 25 so far. There are a few reasons to do this and its not to torture you either lol it helps prepare you for the change in lifestyle and to make better choices, to be aware of bad eating habits but most important to reach your goals....the sleeve is just a tool and if you cant make changes before the sleeve you may have a hard time in long term...So you can either figure out the hoops you have to jump thru for insurance or be self pay and check out mexico.

    Sleeved may 21st

In my 6 months of classes and binders of paperwork I have received, they stress on staying hydrated the first 2 weeks, our bodies have plenty of reserves to work off and if you can get some protein in that is great...being dehydrated will hurt you a lot quicker than not getting all your protein in everyday. But all programs, doctors and NUTs are different and any concerns should be directed to them, you dont want to get sick.

To Each His Own.....Actress Mo'Nique Loses 80 lbs

Congrats to anyone that can take it off and maintain it as long as it was a healthy way...I have lost and found the same 100s of pounds over the years, tried pretty much every diet, pill, group and deal a meal out there, according to my doctor all the yo yo diets have knock our bodies out of whack that a person with a normal life would be hard pressed to lose and keep off more than 10 to 15% of current body weight..sorry I need to lose more than that.
