    Weird..

Our bodies are weird and amazing things for sure..I have also have changed my eating preparing for surgery and when I have a heavy fatty meal I can feel my body trying to process it. I get sweaty short of breath and heart has a bit of a race, makes me think twice thats for sure lol

    Hair loss.

Everybody is different, there is a chance you will lose a little a lot or none at all..most people see some loss between 3 to 9 months...the most you can do is get good protein before and after, taking biotin doesn't hurt. That being said it will grow back and it would not be a reason for me not to get surgery

    Lack of Support

Sorry to hear that, this is a tough thing to go thru alone. Im still pre op and I have a very supportive hubby but because he doesn't have weight issues or food issues he tends to get tired of talking about all the time which I cant help talking about it lol so anyways im here along with a lot of others should you need to chat!

Am I crazy?!? What is going on here?!

Just wondering if you have been tested for any medical issues as to why you cant drop weight or is it just purely over eating? My insurance requires me to lose 10% (30 lbs for me) over the course of a 6 month program. I am 43 and have struggled with food addiction, emotional eating etc I have enough knowledge to be a Nutritionist myself lol but hence I reached my high weight of 293 this past year. I have wanted surgery since 2004 but unlike you I have not been able to live the dream nor have had the money to self pay, but thankfully my job switched insurance companies this past January so hell yeah I have struggled to lose the required weight and yes every day it is a struggle and most days I go over but I do log everything in My Fitness Pal keeping track of my calories.. Im not going to say hey if I can do it you can to but if money is not a problem for you and dont want to lose the weight head south of the boarder, there are a lot of positive mexico stories on here....if not your gonna be 40 something and feeling like your 60 something Also the is Overeaters Anonymous if you really feel you need help...its free and you will be welcomed no matter what your issues...good luck

    Protein Bars?

Silly pre-op question...I have tried every flavor of the Quest Bars and have only been able to eat one completely, I think they taste awful does anyone think this could change after surgery? Did anyone love them pre sleeve? Not that I plan on using them alot but the option would be nice

    Sooo ready for the sleeve!

Like you Im sooooo ready!!!! For my insurance I have to do a 6 month program thru a Center of Excellance....I started in January my programs required monthly doctor visits, 2 support meetings, 3 nutrition classes, surgical class, of couse all the labs and ekg, psych visit and lose 10% of my body weight (30 lbs) well its now 6 months later I have finished everything except for my Psych Appt which is July 8 so hoping to have surgery by August or Sept. Dont beat yourself up to much for having a few "last meals" I think pretty much everyone goes through that, I know I have had more than a few the past 6 months. You will do great and before you know it you will be on the other side!!
