I'm a 42 year teacher. I'm married with a 10 year old child. I've had to really work hard at staying a "decent" weight all my life and I was always on the "chubby" side. About 12 years ago, I started gaining weight. Every year I gained weight. I tried every diet and was never successful. I found out I had hormone problems. I tried medication but nothing worked. My hormones caused growths that had to be removed surgically and if not, could have turned into cancer. After years of this rollercoaster living and getting bigger each year, I had to do something. I hit 264 and had it. My doctor recommended the surgery. Weight loss will help hormone balance and lessen my really bad asthma, so I went for it. I'm now on the "looser bench" and happy I did it. I'm looking forward to getting healthy and being able to do things with my child.
