I am 16 months post op. Complications level would be a 1. Even my husband and daughter couldn't believe how easy the surgery was for me. Now on a mental level? I would have to say a 3. It's hard to adjust to being smaller and people treating you differently than they did before. Would I do it again? ABSOLUTELY 100%. I now am on 1/4 of the blood pressure medicine I was on and moving towards none at all. My Arthritis is better. My oxygen level is better. I'm on 1 Asthma medicine instead of 4. My vision has improved to the point that I rarely need reading glasses anymore. I would definitely do it again!

Hi, I was sleeved 12/05/2012. I was 227 pounds and I'm 5'4" also. I'm now 149.5! I absolutely LOVE my sleeve and feel that this is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I went from a size 22 to an 8. My life has changed so much. I'd love to hear from more December 2012 sleevers again too and hear about your progress. Congratulations to everyone for changing your lives!

2/7/14 - 150.5 2/14/14 - 149.5 I didn't make my goal of 145 but I'm actually starting to think I should just be happy where I am and maintain my weight.

1/24 - 149 2/7 - 150.5 I don't understand how I gained. I ate good and watched my carbs! Bummer!

I Want To See Before & After Pics!

Wow! Look at those skinny legs and that figure! -
I went to the eye doctor yesterday to get my yearly prescription for contacts. She said to me "Ok, I'm confused. What has changed with your health since last year?" I told her I had lost almost 80 pounds and she said that explains it. Evidently, when your overweight your body retains fluid that affects your vision. She was confused because my vision is BETTER now than it was last year. She actually gave me a lower prescription. I've been wearing reading glasses with my contacts for the past 5 years. I don't have to do that anymore! I never imagined all of the things that being overweight interferes with. My Asthma is almost non-existent, I'm on my way to no high blood pressure meds, I barely ever get sick anymore, no more restless leg and all of my allergies are pretty much gone. I love my sleeve!

My Lunch: A Pictorial Attempt To Show You Life Will Be Normal

I am almost 14 months out but I've been able to eat beef since I was allowed solids. My sleeve hasn't had a problem with anything except sugar and fat the entire time. -
My Lunch: A Pictorial Attempt To Show You Life Will Be Normal
Chellemetime replied to gamergirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
We went to a Mexican restaurant yesterday. lunch was beef fajitas, barracho Beans, guacamole and salad instead of rice. I ate most of the fajitas, some guacamole about half of the beans and 2 small bites of the salad. -
1/31/15 148.5 Another 1/2 a pound. Again it's at least a loss but jeez!

All of my December sleevers...

I am still loosing weight but it's very slow. I have to really watch my carbs or I don't lose. It started getting hard for me around the 9 month mark. I even gained 8 pounds over the holidays because I allowed myself to have carbs. I only have 9 pounds to go to get to my goal weight but it's just sooo slow now. -
1/24/14 - 149 Only 1/2 a pound but at least it's a loss. I have 4 pounds to go to get to goal!

I just found this thread and have loved reading all of these NSVs! It makes me smile. My newest one was this last week at work. One of my coworkers said "we just keep watching you shrink away" and another one said I was looking "svelte". I never in a million years would have dreamed anyone would refer to me as svelte. Never.

Congratulations to you! Every month from now on will be a new surprise! Have fun with it!
