Yes absolutely, I snow ski, ride my Sea Doo, Mow my 2 acres, ride my bike for up to 2 hours without any problems. If I know I will be out for more than 4 hours and I want to eat right I will take some berries, a protein bar, and plenty of water or sports drink. You will need to make sure you have nutritious balanced meals when you have them. Fast food doesn't cut it . I assure you without carrying around the 50-200 extra lbs around you will will have MUCH more energy and stamina, I know I sure do!

Getting nervous due to all the comments I am hearing
DBubba replied to Buckfever53's topic in The Guys’ Room
I have to agree with all the comments here. I too was considered by most to be a "big guy carrying some extra weight" I even heard, "I know you are 20-30 lbs overweight but you carry it well"... If I told them I weighed 324 lbs, was nearly diabetic, had to sleep with a CPAP with max pressure, had feet and joint problems related to weight they would have taken a different look. Recommendations...keep the details with close family and close friends, steer away from conversation with casual acquaintences and negativity. If they bring it up change the subject...you don't need it. I too had concerns about going under anethesia and complications. I listened to the Doctor carefully and asked a lot of questions. Ask to meet your anethesiologist for additional support. Your medical team are your specialists they know how to take care of you before and after surgery. You will do GREAT and FEEL like you are 20 years younger, believe me! -
I kept it to close family and one subordinate at the office only. He is very trustworthy so I didn't and still don't have any regrets about that decision. Honestly for me personally I didn't want anyone at work knowing my personal business. Like others hear I was not interested in skeptics or any negative energy coming from anyone. I am a bigger large framed man and most did not probably know I had elevated blood sugar, foot problems, classified as morbidly obese etc. My life would definately been short if I had not taken actions.

I didn't really notice any difference in time for it to take effect or potency vs before. All I have to say is since I have lost over 70 lbs my need to take it has decreased significantly. More erections more often and I can go numerous times in one day easily. Stamina will improve with weight loss, regular workouts and a good diet. My 2 cents!

I would recommend ordering limited numbers of pants and shirts for either work or casual clothes. You will probably drop 2 sizes within 2-3 weeks. Beyond that you will may drop 1 waist size per month over the next few months. I started at 6'1, 325, 3XXL, 44 Waist. Today, 8 months later I am at 248, XL Shirt, 36 Waist. So depending on your workout level and build you could end up between 34-38 waist. I strongly recommend buying inexpensive clothes from resale stores, Walmart, Sams Club etc until you get to your end weight. Dont spend a lot of money on anything because you wont be in it long.. Good luck! D

This is very normal. I have been accused of slumping forward since I have taken off weight. I also noticed some mid and lower back pain as well. I visited my chiropractor and he suggested that this is to be expected as the spine and muscles which support our spine have esablished a prone position to support the extra weight. He suggested stretches and strength to improve posture. D

I didnt snore before because I already had sleep apnea and used a CPAP. Unfortunately he would not allow me to use the first night of surgery so I didnt sleep a wink even with the pain meds. Since the surgery and dropping another 40 lbs I have been able to trade out my old high pressure CPAP for a new automatically adjusting unit which only provides the pressure you need. Before pressure was 11 current pressure is 4!! Big improvement. My hope is when I get to goal weight I will be off entirely.

Josh, Glad to hear it was a blood bruise and that you are back to normal. I had a problem with the boys years ago called testicular torsion. It happens to wrestlers folks who play judo or other sports without a jock or tight shorts. They have to be untwisted to free the tubes that run to them. When you first posted I had a flashback and hoped that wasnt your issue. Glad you are all good now!

Jason, First and foremost the concerns you have are very normal and have been experienced by everyone who considered this procedure. You and I are the same weight, BMI and height at start. I had my procedure on December 20th and am extremely glad I did it. I played football, rugby and wrestled in high school. Always a big boned boy growing up but as years go by it has been tougher and tougher to maintain my weight. I have yo=yo dieted since I was 21 and finally decided to solve this once and for all. This is not a permanent fix it is a tool you can use to get to your ideal weight and maintain it easier. You will make changes in your intake to be MUCH healthier overall. High Blood Pressure, Elevated blood sugar, joint issues, etc. can be minimized or even eliminated in the long haul. It was a good decision for my family as I know I have extended my life exponentially by have this surgery. Can I sit down and consume a 12 oz ribeye, mashed potatoes, and creamy spinach now? No! Do I even want to? NO. Our body does not need that much food and obesity is proof of that. Good luck in the coming week and half. We are all here for you so don't sweat all the details. Ask questions and people will be glad to help!

I have had sleep apnea for over 10 years now. I was diagnosed when I was at or near my near my current goal weight. Three weeks after my surgery I found that the pressure on my CPAP (11-setting) was becoming too high and was blowing my mouth open during the middle of the night. It was almost worse than not using it and wake up with apnic events throughout the night. My PCP Dr. prescribed and auto CPAP for me which is supposed to automatically adjust your pressure based on CO2 levels and vibrations which occurr when yu begin to snore. I have slept GREAt ths week however wake up with a head ache each day. I am unable to figure out why??? Has anyone else with sleep apnea had issues with headaches upon waking that last through the day??

I had mine in 5 days post sugery. It was mostly just uncomfortable when dressing/showering. I recommend finding some slightly tight mens T shirts with pockett. Place the drain pump in the pocket and the snugness of the shirt will keep the dressing around the insertion point snug and comfortable. When it was removed it was simply a pulling sensation, consistent speed in removal is key. Within a day the incision mostly healed on its own when covered by a bandage.

Congrats to all...great news!

I would strongly recommend packing a lunch box with good healthy items. There are tons of healthy protein rich snacks out there such as fat free Greek yogurt with fruit. Fruit cups no sugar added,... Use myfitnesspal to track your daily intake. This will open your eyes to what you are doing and how it will impact your weight. It's all about you! Don't let all temptations take you off track

I asked the operating room nurse that question before I went under and she said absolutely no! Unless I acted up would they reconsider They wanted me up within hours out of receovery to move around, walk and hit the rest room when I needed. I took full advantage of that opportunity!

I trimmed my torso with a number 2 clipper (Im normally a beast) They only shaved the areas where they needed to make the incisions so I lucked out. The hair I trimmed is already coming back out and the area shaved is about a 1 now (past stubble). I should be furry again by summer time
