I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
Stephannie replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
No, I've not had any yet but I will eventually. Luckily my arms and other areas that show bounced back pretty well but my legs are probably the worst. I also have nothing left as far as breasts so I would like to get implants. Right now I'm still getting used to putting on a size 2. I so love it -

I love to share my success with other sleeves who understand and don't think I'm just bragging. (Yes, I've gotten that) -
You would think after losing 127 lbs and having my sleeve for 14 months I would get used to the side by side but I still don't recognize myself.

Thank you so much!! I am so happy!!!!

Common comments after weightloss surgery
Stephannie posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I love people and realize (for the most part) their intentions are good but some of the things people say to me now that I've lost the weight make me giggle. Here's some frequent fliers: I didn't realize you had THAT much weight to lose. I never thought you were heavy. (really!!??) Why didn't you just exercise? (Wow....never considered that....LOL) Do you miss eating? (Hahaha) Don't you feel so much better? (No, nothing says comfort like an extra 120 lbs to carry around) (My nail lady to another customer) Look at her! I've done her nail long time and she used to be so fat!!! Hee hee. Bless her heart. AND MY ALL TIME FAVORITE You've always been pretty but now....... I say this very lighthearted....but GEEZ -

Haha! I'm in Seattle but I went to college in Kansas and held on to many of their mannerisms. I love it too. -

I'm so happy for you. I say just take it one day at a time. Stay accountable and remember WHY you did this. Write down all the things you want to do AND all of your worst "FAT MOMENTS" (one of mine was not fitting on a roller coaster) and look at it when it's though. Remember the head hunger WILL go away and don't give in. This is probably the most controversial statement I will make but get back to life ASAP!! I realize that one of the factors to my success was that I went right back to work. (Surgery Thursday back on Monday) I'm not saying that's best for you but idle hands..... Now, go rock your sleeve and keep me updated!!!! Xoxo -
Thank you so much!! This is THE BEST thing I've ever done for ME!

I hate this question mostly because I should have done things different but with a full time career, 5 children and no energy due to low caloric intake I never have exercised through this process. I do have a ton of skin but not sure exercising would have made that big of a difference. I have no regrets and I think If it's successful you're doing it the right way.

When I made the decision to have weightloss surgery it wasn't just to lose weight. I also wanted to gain back who I lost in those 246. part of that was letting go of the food and constantly remind myself I am way more worthy than a cheeseburger or chocolate shake. I deserve to enjoy what I want in moderation. I lost really fast and had most of my weight gone by 8 or 9 months. Again, I stopped focusing on food. I keep myself accountable and the second I feel out of control I confide in someone. I know that sounds weird but it's my way of reminding myself that I will NOT hide and eat after everyone goes to bed. Hope that helps.

Migraine Headaches
Stephannie replied to Ballermom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I feel for you. I too am a severe migraine sufferer with light sensitivity, vomiting, blind spots, the whole nine yards. Although I wouldn't change a thing. They've gotten worse through the weight loss. I've tried Botox and every migraine med under the sun and the only thing that helps is time and narcotic pain Meds. As of 1/15 I've decided to get off of all Meds and eat clean. I want a clean slate and to get all the Meds and toxins out. I'm scared to death of having an untreated headache but also scared of living the rest of my life on heavy Meds. I've tried everything else. Now I just lean on my faith and try to take the upper hand and power through. Wish me luck. No headache yet but next week I'm on my typical window so nervous. Good luck to you. Xoxo -

Hmmmm.....I don't either other than the horrifying look my girls get when we are trying on clothes at the mall. My 4 year old asked me if I was melting. Hahaa! I guess I kind of am. thank you. I'm gonna dig and I have great support through my physician so I'll find out what I can and share.

I'm a horrible sleeper so often times when I have sleepless nights I pull up old pics and look at them. It's crazy....I don't even know that person anymore. I remember the memories and even thinking I looked cute (I now know I didn't look as cute as I thought I did) I wonder why that person didn't take charge and do this sooner. So many major life events that I hid behind people in pics or just plain didn't go because I felt so insecure. I'm so happy I'm not her. I got to take all the good qualities of her inside and match them with the good qualities she now has on the outside. What a blessing. Here are some pics from before and after if you're interested.
