4 months post op and preggo!
JPSnAZ replied to southern belle's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Arent you supposed to wait AT LEAST a year after surgery to get pregnant? I think gaining weight back should be the least of your worries. You need to make sure your baby gets enough nutrients and make sure your body is stable enough to carry a baby. -
When I have my surgery, I dont want to tell anyone (except a select few people). I just feel like its a really personal thing and dont think its anyone else's business. Did anyone else not want to tell anyone about their surgery? And what did you say when people asked how you lost so much weight so quickly?? I just know people are going to ask me and Im not quite sure what I will say.

I suppose you are right. I still dont want to announce it to the world. But I wont be so afraid to tell anyone who asks. I am freakin 25 years old, Im not in high school anymore so I shouldnt be so worried about people talking shizz.

Nice little quote at the end there...Why do you have to be such an ass to everyone who doesnt agree with you? Everyone here obviously gets that you think we should shout from the rooftops that we all had surgery. Thats great that you are so comfortable with it, but most people arent. Everyone is different in how comfortable they are about the situation and no one is wrong in how they feel. And I agree with IsB, why go through all the legal troubles if you did get fired... Better to just keep it to yourself and not have to deal with that unfair crap.

PCOs permanent damage - do ovarian cysts go away?
JPSnAZ replied to Estella's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
From what I was told by my Dr, if you get down to a healthy weight, all aspects of PCOS will go away including the cysts. But I guess it all depends on your body too. -
Frequently Asked Questions
JPSnAZ replied to Lilee84's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Is alcohol something you shouldnt really ever drink again after your surgery? I know you cant have it for A WHILE after, but Im talking like a year down the road -
Well yes, of course, I know this is going to change my life.

I agree with you... I dont want gossip and thats why Im not telling a ton of people. I try to stay away from drama and like I said before, I just feel like its not anyone else business. I dont think its a cop out at all. Its not that I dont want to give credit to it, its that its such a drastic measure and a lot of people dont agree with it or think its too extreme. Dont wanna hear that negativity to bring me down. And if anyone who is morbidly obese were to ask me, I would definitely tell them about it and answer any & all questions they had. I would love to help someone else. Thats the reason why I have decided to do this, because someone that I knew had the surgery. But I dont think everyone on my FB friends list that I went to high school with needs to know or other random people like that and word spreads (especially in the small town that Im from).

I AM SO EXCITED. I know this will be the thing that will change our lives forever, FINALLY. Im so happy that we are doing this together. We will be amazing! & HOT!

I am pre-op but have been wondering how having surgery and losing a lot of weight has affected your relationships, specifically with your significant other. Ive heard many things on how divorce rates are high with people who have had WLS and this really scares me. I feel like losing weight will make things better in so many ways!!! What have been your experiences?? I know all relationships are different but Im still curious to know.

Ive been watching some youtube videos of people that have had WLS and a lot of them said that their SO liked bigger girls and werent attracted to them when they lost weight and thats what ultimately ended their relationships. I know I wont have that problem! But still, theres a multitude of other things that could pop up unexpectedly. But Im not going to let the fear of the unknown stop me from having VSG!!
