I've thought a lot about this for when I get the surgery done.... Both of my parents are planning vacations that at this point I wouldn't even think about going on(amusement park and a cruise) My personal rewards that I want to do for myself are of course new clothes from stores I've never even walked in to, I want a full back piece of butterfly wings, and a beach vacation parent free. I'm only 22 and haven't left the nest yet so that will be my first trip without either of them.

I would like to see replies to this too. I have found a pcp that wants to help me get the surgery done however i dont have records of every diet ive tried because i couldnt afford to go to the doctor every month to find out i was failing.

I tried to send you a private message and it wouldn't let me for some reason...anyways...I am going to have the surgery done at Centennial once everything goes in and gets approved. I was just wanting to hear from someone that had it done there about what to expect. I don't know if you did anything different than I am doing but I won't even meet with anyone at Centennial until all my records and evaluations get sent there and I'm extremely nervous about the whole process and just want to know what to expect.

I won't miss... Double chin for sure Nasty bumps all over me None of my clothes fitting Not being able to dress my age and in a style that suits me Everything popping when I move Back pain Not dating and having a social life Having horrible self confidence The list goes on and on and on...

My doctor did xrays ekg and blood work my first appointment i had with her. I've noticed a lot of people have had to jump thru a lot of hoops and see a lot of different specialists. I guess I just lucked up with my insurance.

I'm in Tennessee. I wish i had started the process sooner. There was over a month wait at the psychologist but now it's right around the corner. I'm just glad to have found a doctor that is going to help me get the surgery done.

I'm just now starting the process and I had to have 6 months of failed dieting in the last year and a psych evaluation. After all of that goes to the hospital i should only have one appointment with the surgeon to go over everything and get my date hopefully!

I cant wait to... be able to buy cute clothes instead of baggy t-shirts To actually have a social life To go hiking To be able to enjoy the gym To get rid of the fat hump on my neck To actually wear a swim suit and not feel like a beached whale To casually run into my ex that called me a fat cow daily to finally have confidence and not be the fat girl in the corner Cant wait to get this started!

I have started the process and go for my psych evaluation next month. Can anyone give me any kind of idea of what to expect with the evaluation?

Thanks for all the help guys! I'm just ready to get the process started. I've been thinking about getting the surgery done for 2 years and finally got the kick in the butt I needed to get started. I'm just anxious to get everything taken care of to send it off to insurance. My greatest fear is that they won't approve it.

I do know mine is suppose to be just a one time deal. Now how long it's going to be I'm not sure. My insurance requires the psych eval but doesn't cover it so I would assume that it is just the bare minimum they need from it.

Thanks everyone. I just wanted to have some kind of idea about what i was getting myself into. Doctors make me nervous as is and a head doctor that could possibly hold the rest of my life in his hands might kill me. Lol

I found a pcp that wants to help me move forward. The way mine is being done is i do my psych eval and get my records and letter from the doctor sent to the surgeon before i ever even meet him. The doctor i found wants to try to get everything done and sent to them to try to have the surgery in March

I am in the process of trying to get everything set up. I do my psych next month but my primary doc wouldn't sign off for the surgery. So now I'm having to find a completely new doctor to go to. Has anyone else had this problem at all?
