  1. @@Meley24 I've never had the band. I had gastric sleeve. I've not had many problems. None that I didn't cause. I eat to fast, to much, and don't chew enough. You'd think I'd learn. I'm getting better about my issues, so the problems I did have are disappearing. I'm almost two years out. I'm at my goal weight. I'm still losing though. Really, best decision I've ever made.
  2. I'm really worried about my husband. I want to talk to him, but I don't want it to sound like fat shaming. He had the surgery six months before me. He lost 75 pounds. His BMI is still in the obese range. He's eating to much, and eating the wrong things. His back hurts him all the time. Now his knees are hurting him. Can you stretch your stomach back out?
  3. @@Miss Mac You made me smile. Congratulations!
  4. @ I think your right. I have one "friend" in particular, that I was the wing girl on nights out. She had most of the attention. Now roles are reversed. Let's just say all of the sudden we aren't "friends". She's also decided it's drugs or an eating disorder. I don't need that type of "friend".
  5. Thanks everyone. It's nice to talk to people who know what I've gone through or are headed in that direction.
  6. I think most people hit a plataue. I just stopped losing. Thought I was done. Bought new clothes size 12. I was wrong. Started losing weight again. Now I got a closet full of clothes that don't fit me. The pylori was causing a lot of nausea.
  7. Anyone who can go through this is very strong. This is not an easy decision. Everyone should be proud of themselves. Those first few months are rough. I still have problems occasionally - nausea and stomach aches. I still think, know, I made the right decision. My health and self esteem are so much better. I just had total knee replacement surgery. If it weren't for the weight loss, the recovery would be so much harder. Big pat on the back for everyone.
  8. @@Djmohr I'm sure you'll get there. It feels good.

  11. @ghrguru God I love my husband. He went through the surgery 6 months before me. He lost 75 pounds. BUT, 2 years later his BMI is in the obese range still. I worry about him. He's eating more and becoming less active. I just had total knee replacement surgery from injuries sustained 6 years ago. When we were very active. Overweight, but hiking six miles at least once a week. I'm looking forward for my knee to heal to get back to hiking. I just want my hiking buddy back. AND I'm worried about his health.
  12. @@jenn1 I'm not worried what people think. I look healthy. I feel healthy. My doctors are happy. I just had total knee replacement surgery. I am so happy I didn't have to go through that heavier. PT and doctors tell me I'm doing excellent for three weeks out.

  15. @@WL WARRIOR What does your primary say? Are you healthy?
  16. @@WL WARRIOR, you are an inch taller than me. I think everyone's different. If you feel to thin, try gaining more weight back.
