Husband says I don't need it. It's not bad, but I notice it. Especially when I lay on my side. I guess I'll just quit laying on my side.

So, I'm assuming insurance doesn't pay for it. Take it easy like the doctor says. You don't want to go through that and pop a stitch.

Veterans: Question RE: bowel movements
sweettea replied to LumpySpacePrincess's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm over two years out. I've always only pooped once a week. But I do have IBS. So every week I take a "gentle" laxative. (Walmart brand). By the end of the day or the next day it is stringy and mucousy. My IBS causes constipation, not the runs. -

Afraid I'll gain the weight back...
sweettea replied to sweettea's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@Babs I worry about that too. That I may go the exact opposite and become anorexic, because of my issues. I swing from one emotion to another, I'm a rapid cycler. My psychologist has definitely noticed the weight lose. He's commented on it many times, but never negatively. I have a lot of stress on me right at the moment, mostly family issues. -
I've had mine for over two years. The only complications I've had were self inflicted. I was eating to fast, to much, and not chewing enough. Don't do that you throw up a lot and have major stomach aches. I haven't gained any weight back. I'm actually still slowly losing weight.

Endoscopy????????????????
sweettea replied to sbagby1960's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No sedation? I've never heard of that. They've always gave me something to relax. I was in and out of consciousness. I just had one for other reasons not related to the gastric sleeve. -
Afraid I'll gain the weight back...
sweettea replied to sweettea's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The extra junk in the house only bothers me because I worry about him. I feel he's sabatoging his own health. I don't have to many problems with it affecting me and my eating habits. BUT, I'm afraid that sooner or later it will. He says he buys the junk for his teenage son whose only over here every other weekend. He buys grapes and bananas for me. Dribbling out information? -
@@mrsdean My husband keeps "teasing" me that I look even more beautiful, that I'll run off. As you said, "Silly boys!".

@@miller1109 I'm 2 1/2 years out. I try not to weigh every day, by I usually do. I'm normally not hungry, but I also sometimes eat things I shouldn't. I too feel fat at times. My husband says I'm fine. He said that when I was 220. I just don't EVER want to go back to that. I barely eat. Only about 1 cup a day. My husband is worried I'm now becoming anorexic. -
Welcome. I had some pain, but it was very manageable. What does doctor say? Are you taking stool softeners?

Very scary pain a few nights ago -- gastric dumping?
sweettea replied to CloserToFine's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@CloserToFine It's really not a big deal for me. Been going on for years. I understand why it would be upsetting for you. Maybe ask your PCP what he suggests for constipation. -
Great! What a wonderful milestone. Congratulations! Keep on pushin' on.

What Are Your Top Considerations for Choosing a Weight Loss Surgeon?
sweettea replied to Alex Brecher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Went to his seminar. My husband and I liked him. He explained everything. Told us why he would choose gastric sleeve for us. Took his time. Made us feel comfortable, even though he was 1 1/2 hours away. -
What was the final straw to decide this?
sweettea replied to limichelle34's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I never really felt that i was that over weight. No one said anything. I had no trouble with men. I married my soulmate. He always says you can't hide beautiful. My mother-in-law said something to the affect of her son always dating thinner woman. I don't think she meant anything about it, but it hurt and made me think. Then I got the pictures back from Hawaii. OMG! That couldn't be me. I started trying all sorts of diets. Loss 50 pounds, gain sixty back. One day my husband and I were listening to the radio, a commercial came on. My husband said I want to grow old with you. We were both obese. Him more than me. He was starting to have major health issues. That was the last straw. We decided to do it together. -
What did your breast's do?
sweettea replied to meyouus's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Okay, I'm going to admit something. Might make you laugh. I have a spaghetti strapped dress. I tried on my strapless bra. No way it's going to stay up. I tried the tube sock in the bra thing. Well, that somewhat helped the cup size. Unfortunately it did not help it was a 38. Sucker kept slipping down. Finally went into bathroom and did the whole unsnap and pull through the sleeve thing. Of course, both socks fell on the floor. I don't know if anyone saw, but I didn't open my purse the rest of the night. Husband thought this was hilarious. -
